We wont ever again. We just signed up to be canon fodder to the likes of Madrid, Barcelona and United. We even have to get behind United in the que because if the players that miss out on Madrid, Barcelona and London and have to go live in Manchester have to decide between a team hated by the football world and a team with "historical" prestige and a fucking owner in the president seat with equal economic opportunities in a league that doesnt matter why the fuck would they pick us?

Because we have a better owner, better board, better Director of Football, better Manager, better squad, better team, better stadium, better player care, more stability and better future prospects of success. Pretty much every reason a player choses a club.

The only people who talk about "history" and "prestige" being a factor in a transfer are daft fans who don't know the first thing about football.

Given the money that will be involved in football (the clubs in the Super League anyway) - are the figures for Haaland rumoured last week (wages) too far fetched?
