Of course they will, but have they (we) given any indication whatsoever that we might be interested in signing him or prepared to pay it? I haven't seen anything but maybe I missed it. So saying they know he'll cost £100m doesn't mean we're automatically OK to pay it.the club will know for a fact he’s going to cost around the £100m mark.
I hope you are right. I fear you may not be. We'll see. No,i mean confident.
We require a new striker, and he ticks every box twice over.I cant see money preventing the signing, especially given our recent (relative) conservatism in that area.
Its not very often a player comes along who will almost guarantee we step up a level.
Well if rumours are to be believed then we’ve spoken to his camp and are interested. We’re not gonna do all that without knowing how much he’d likely cost. So if they’re still interested then it indicates we’d be happy to payOf course they will, but have they (we) given any indication whatsoever that we might be interested in signing him or prepared to pay it? I've often wondered - if the loan were interest free? For FFP purposes would only the repayment of interest have to count?!!
How does that work? I thought you can’t put owner money in to cover operating costs as it breaks FFP?No idea mate. I do know we have used the Silver Lake money this season to help towards operating costs.

Accidentally....my fault Ray,sorry xHow come I have been dragged into this ?

It's not owner money, the investment by Silver Lake can be used across the whole of the CFG.
Sheikh Mansour did not get the money.
... if the rumours are true, then yes. I don't typically find rumours to be very reliable though tbh.Well if rumours are to be believed then we’ve spoken to his camp and are interested. I said I may have missed it. When did we say that?weird to say that we've given no indication that we're interested in him. We've literally told the press pack he's our number 1 transfer target this summer.
I tend to agree, sadly. I read earlier today that Abramovic had made it his personal mission to sign Haaland. Whether that is true who knows, but we can be sure there will be lots of bidders - some far less sensible than us - and given the uber-hype surrounding this player, I cannot see him going for anything less than silly money. And we are anything but silly.I fear an auction and at that stage City will bow out. We always do... :(
FFP Only looks at the profit and loss account not the balance sheet or cash flow which is where the silver lake investment will sitHow does that work? I thought you can’t put owner money in to cover operating costs as it breaks FFP?
I read that on the BBC gossip page, then saw it was from the Star so promptly ignored it.I tend to agree, sadly. I read earlier today that Abramovic had made it his personal mission to sign Haaland. Pretty much how I see it unless a deal has already been quietly done, but his agent is too much of a gob-shite/wideboy for that to be the case :-(I tend to agree, sadly. Also it’s not owner investment its a sale of equity to an external investorFFP Only looks at the profit and loss account not the balance sheet or cash flow which is where the silver lake investment will sit
