Erling Haaland

100%, although we’ve shown that we will be patient, historically

It’s all chess, mino just sacrificed a few pawns is all and City respond with the Sicilian defence.....

This, which has always been the case, sits firmly in the lap of Daddy, who isn’t going to not listen to the best offer for his son, the strength however is our obvious strength, despite the economical impact to the wider football community!

Agree but this is what I was concerned about, Has Mino managed to convince his father that the best thing for his son is to stay at Dortmund for another year and wait until next year, when teams are in a better situation to spend?

We aren’t buying a striker this summer pep has said that
Let’s hope delap gets game time
He should get goals
Think we will sign a striker but it won’t the names that we think it will . Haaland kane and Felix are too expensive so they are out of the equation. Lukaku doesn’t want to come to England and Martinez isn’t keen either so that now leaves us the likes of daka thuram ings and Nunez . This will piss a lot of people on here off but this is how it will play out I’m afraid . I know we have done well this season without a striker but next season will be a lot harder . Maybe I’m wrong but what’s the point in being a rich and powerful club if we are not gonna mix it with the world elite as you can guarantee Utd will not baulk at going over £100 million .

Have you just said Utd are the world elite ???

That isn’t beyond the realms of possibility but will Dortmund be in a position to take that stance? I’m not too sure..

This idea that the economic recovery, not just in football, will be reset in 12 months is also folly, we are taking about a global economic decline, it’s not isolated to one country..

Dortmund will be no better off in 12 months, both in terms of his release clause but also other teams ability to do the type of business they’re touting, if anything Pep is reinforcing that point and a deal will have to be done!

He didn't say that we were not going to buy a striker, he basically said it's impossible to pay the rumours of 150m for Haaland or Kane QUOTE "with these prices it's impossible"

If City & Txiki know Erling wants us then why should we pay double next years buyout clause?

City are playing Mino & Dortmund at their own game.

Hardly gonna come out and openly admit to getting another striker in as no1, thus potentially upsetting Gab at a critical point of the season

He had no issue telling aguero, I doubt he'd tiptoe around gabi.
It was both a deflection and a message.
All in the game yo.

Mino would be a idiot to even try convince Haaland to do that. The best time for all parties for a move, most of all mino, is this summer.

Mino might of convinced Alfie, but Dortmund have a say in this, and have recently lost a lot of money by being greedy with Sancho. His release clause is a lot cheaper next season, and Dortmund probably need to balance the books.

Alfie is just being his Dad, hearing the offers and seeing no shenanigans are going on.... hearing said offers, first hand, is a little easier to digest without the Mino seasoning that always accompanies said deals...

I wonder why he did the same when a guest at city?

If we dont get him I sincerly hope Pep and the club come out and say we wont deal with raiola and thats why we didnt buy him

No need to say anything.

If Raiola is responsible for causing the breakdown of a potential big transfer, due to his greed, then he is stupid and loses his massive cut, as well as potentially losing future clients .

Not really, we are not desperate.

We won 21 games in a row this season (the previous all-time record was 14 games!) without a top top finisher and, who knows, we may win the lot in several weeks. Maybe, just maybe, we should trust the team, the manager, the club bosses a little bit more.

Why do some fans think they know better than Txiki and Pep what we need and at
Let's hope this is right but I get a feeling this would be a massive opportunity missed to pull further away from our rivals

Agree.

In the last few years clubs overplaying their hand has seen them end up with fuck all. Napoli with Koubalily and Crystal Palace with Zaha. While huge money signings like Griezman, Slab head Maguire have been shocking examples of clubs panicking and thinking they must have this footballer and overpaying.

Dortmund had the chance to rinse Woodward last year for sancho but ended up with a player who looked pissed off at the start of the season. I would be amazed if they got anything like the fee they were offered 12 months ago. As for Haaland, they either sell big this year or low next year. If they don't and they go against that agent it will be months of mouthing off in the press.

The other issue is do you want that fuck of an agent in the club? There is a reason why proper managers and clubs steer clear, he is a decisive negative factor in any transfer. I would nearly spend the extra on Kane.
