So what is the biggest move in your opinion?Willing to bet it won't even be the biggest move the league has seen this year, let alone decade.

I don’t think it would be smart to bet against Haaland winning the Prem golden boot in his first season.
His stats speak for themselves, particularly his CL ones. 40% conversion rate isn’t it?
I just wish for the first time, we actually flex our financial muscle and get this deal done.
Send a message out, whatever the cost.

We would be signing the England captain, one of the best goal scorers in the past 5/6 years and adding him to a team that just won the Premier League. KDB, Salah and VVD are only up there in hindsight, nobody knew what they would do when they arrived. KDB was class but in the Bundesliga, was no guarantee he would hit the level he has. Salah was scoring in Serie A but its a shite league and VVD was good at Southampton but no guarantee he would do what he did when he had to step up to that level. In terms of significance and contribution to their teams in the last decade Kev, Salad, VanDyke, Dias imo are all bigger moves than Kane would be. Haaland, when he moves will pip it this year.
It seems people have a hard-on for Shearer's record being broken, and because Kane once scored 30 goals in a wonder season, everyone thinks he will pip that with us.
Definitely true when we’ve gone up against United. I suppose on the flip side you could argue that Hazard did well for Chelsea thoughTbf when City pull out of these type of deals we haven't faired too badly.
Utd flexed their financial muscle on Pogba, Sanchez and Maguire and we know how well they've done.
Shearers record, oh you mean the most goals ever scored in the prem. don’t make out like it’s nothing, you look a tit.In terms of significance and contribution to their teams in the last decade Kev, Salad, VanDyke, Dias imo are all bigger moves than Kane would be. And we already have a fine young striker in Liam Delap which Pep will bloodAgreed, I think its the financial package more than anything that's likely to have put City off, a reported fee north of 150M the payoff to Alf and Mino, maybe 20M a year in wages. Kane won't be cheap but the overall numbers will add up to a fair old amount in difference.
You’re right, that would be worse. We could do worse and have a look at what Tevez is up to these days. He could be back up to a main striker and he would love in this team.

Disagree, Haaland is a fantastic player and still young. He will hit the ground running with plenty of goals. Kane will be 28 soon and is plagued with ankle issues. It will be a bit of a risk paying Levy what he wants which will be north of 100M. Don’t get me wrong Kane’s a good player but Haalands a phenomenal talent and is the better deal. It will be the biggest transfer this year and beyond. Fair play to Chelsea, they have a history of making good deals.I can see them doing a player swap deal to soften the 172M asking price. Why do you keep looking at these deals purely from one perspective.
Maybe City are going for Kane because Haaland has not answered the phone to Pep or sent Txiki a whatsapp telling him to do one.
A mistake is chasing Haaland all summer for him to end up at Chelsea and we end up with Danny Ings. City don't get in transfer nonsense anymore, that is why most players we sign have release clauses. No nonsense, deal done.
Signing Kane is not some no mark transfer, it would be the biggest move this league has seen in a decade.
Easy tiger, it was a little tongue in cheek. Although I don’t see Chelsea complaining about 36 year old centre back who just won the champs league. You’re right, that would be worse.
A 37 year old striker with attitude problems who couldn’t cut it in the Chinese Super league. Jesus Christ.

Nobody is denying Haaland is not great. Doesn’t matter how good the deal is, doesn’t look like he wants to be here or he does but Pep doesn’t care because he wants Kane.Disagree, Haarland is a fantastic player and still young. He will not the ground running on its premiership. Kane will be 28 soon and is plagued with ankle issues. It will be a bit of a risk paying Levy what he wants which will be north of 100M. Why not? Things in life change, maybe it’s because Chelsea are offering double his wages and a week on Romans yacht, maybe Pep has rang him and said sorry pal I’m going for Harry. Nobody knows what’s gonna happen but it’s looking more and more likely we aren’t moving for Haaland for whatever reason. But, logically, why would Haaland say that?
It wasn't a coincidence that there was a camera nearby when he said 'beautiful, eh' entering the Etihad or all those links he has to the club.

Chelsea do have a lot more to offer Dortmund in terms of players.

of course he knew the cameras were there but what’s he going to say? “Shithole this emptyhad”... he seems a good lad and yeah he has links but let’s not delude ourselves that he’s anything like Foden.
A 36 year old midfielder who was brought on too late would have won us the Champions LeagueEasy tiger, it was a little tongue in cheek. Although I don’t see Chelsea complaining about 36 year old centre back who just won the champs league.
I’d rather he didn’t go there, but I guess there could have been worse destinations he ends up at.Chelsea are getting the best striker in world football here
Fair play
We’re probably looking at a similar, if not greater transfer fee for Haaland if we want to do it this summer. Plus, there’s a world of difference between paying a 28 yr old in line with your top earners and breaking your wage structure for a 20 yr old. If he stays beyond his first contract, the next one goes higher, as do the club’s other top earners and so on. That’s why long term, and with Raiola as his agent it’s probably not as feasible. Hope I’m wrong, but let’s be honest, Haaland or Kane...first world problems. But this is what confuses me. Right now, it's looking like Levy and Spurs don't want players in return for Kane. They just want money. So in that case, we're talking WELL over 100m to get him in. When it comes to that price range, how can we justify getting a soon to be 28 year old instead of a "generational talent" (hate that term but it's apt) that genuinely looks like an absolute world beater? I'm just struggling with that logic.
Why can’t you believe it?I get that there may reasons we don't know about but I fail to believe Haaland would blankly turn us down already given that we have so much in our favour. It seems we won't be getting him but there'd have to be a substantial reason why because we've been told our balance sheet is strong, we will be aggressive in the market and he fits a huge gap in the squad currently.
