Erling Haaland

Read somewhere that City don't want to buy Haaland until after his 21st birthday which is towards the end of July.
Seemingly there is a new restriction on U21 foreign players and the most that can be signed is 3 at any given transfer window.
The 2 Fluminense lads have , or will sign in this transfer window.
City may be looking at maybe another U21 player
who they will want to sign along with Haaland.
I think the new ruling allows a premier team to be able to buy 3 more U21s in the January transfer window.

That sounds like complete bullshit - we would have heard of a restriction like that coming in.

Also it simply doesn't make sense. FIFA control transfers and they can only restrict you registering a player, not buying one.

Hence why transfer banned clubs can sign someone and only register them when the ban expires. You could buy Haaland off Dortmund (what you're buying is ownership of his registration papers) and then register him as your player after his birthday.

Only repeating what is on several sites.
This is a copy from one of them.
"The Football Association has confirmed that Premier League and EFL clubs will not be able to sign foreign players until they are 18 under new regulations that will be introduced upon completion of the Brexit transition period, with all new signings from European Union nations requiring a work permit that will be allocated on a points-based system.

The new regulations, which have been approved by the Premier League and English Football League, will also see Premier League clubs limited to signing no more than three players under the age of 21 in any single transfer window, meaning no more than six per season, in an effort to help produce homegrown talent in the professional leagues."

Hope this is true… happy dayssss
I would think so.....would imagine Khaldoon probably rang every media outlet he could think of this morning and said "just to keep you in the loop...we've decided this morning that Haaland is the ideal replacement for Aguero, we apologise for having taken so long to decide, that you have had to guess it was Kane and therefor wrong, we apologise for making you look KFA"
..........or maybe not lmfao.

Under that classification Kayky isn't joining until January 2022 so its a non issue.

We did. It was in the news, ahead of brexit getting done. There has been a change of restrictions to signing players, the EU players now qualifying the same way foreign players do. There was a change to limit youth players too, can't remember the specific age and number though. I thought it was only to u18s rather than u21s, but could be wrong.
