Erling Haaland

Because it's not hard to believe that Raiola wants a big payoff and it is hard to believe that City wouldn't pay 160 mill for Kane (I assume you are referring to the Kane money being quoted).

It is the classic 'look how much City will have to pay for this player, how much can we stack on'.

With haaland it was pick the highest fee, highest wage, hmm, still doesnt seem shocking enough, stick on an insane agent fee, getting there but still no shock value, fuck it, a cut for his dad too.

Same with Kane, huge fee, huge wages. If they need to inflate it further they will.

I just don't understand how people can believe claims like that. Particularly when on the other hand dismissing similarly over exaggerated figures for other players.
Because the agent has previous, we don't know the figures he wants, but you can safely assume there will be a figure and a huge figure at that, plus lots of demands about future release clauses etc.

I would love to see Haaland in sky blue, but the baggage is huge and as said yesterday, considering his Dad is an ex pro and seems a very intelligent guy for a footballer, why does he want Riaola working on behalf of the family, that does not sit right with me.

It’s different as the release clause is much lower than clubs are willing to pay.

Therefore multiple clubs will meet the release clause and Harland will go to the club that offers him and his entourage the most money.

If he moves this summer, Raiola and his dad will get less as Dortmund will get that money.

Or the club he wants to play at and thinks has the best chance of winning things, being a regular, progressing etc.. footballing reasons.

Not saying ttat has to be us btw.

That will be part of the decision, but his choice of clubs will be all challenging domestically and in Europe.

If he wants to choose his club for football reasons not financial why pay Raiola to represent him, all that does is make it harder for him to choose his team.

Sure, Raiola gets big deals for his client. Hasn't exactly been hired to make decisions gir him has he?

He gets big deals but he takes a big chunk for himself too making it more expensive for the buying club. I don't know but would hazard a guess that's a big reason we dropped it. I think Haaland could get a great deal for himself without Raiola, his dad is more than capable. All Raiola does is rule out some clubs. it may get him a bit more money, but if footballing reasons were his priority he'd widen his choice and maybe accept he gets a liitle less money,

Haaland to the rags next season.
With the paperboy signing a new contract he will have to decide if he will develop his game under the expert tutolage of Pep or watch OGS putting cones out for the next four seasons , and if he does join the Rags it will not be for the prospects of winning trophies or improving his game , it will be to improve his bank balance because the Rags will pay stupid money to get one over us , Sanchez and £550k a week being the perfect example.
