Erling Haaland

He gets big deals but he takes a big chunk for himself too making it more expensive for the buying club. I don't know but would hazard a guess that's a big reason we dropped it. I think Haaland could get a great deal for himself without Raiola, his dad is more than capable. All Raiola does is rule out some clubs. it may get him a bit more money, but if footballing reasons were his priority he'd widen his choice and maybe accept he gets a liitle less money,
Disagree with that. Footballing reasons does not preclude getting ALL of the money.

Always go for the MOST money. As it would be paid by one of the big clubs. So footballing reasons are already taken care of.

*Every player signing for the rag cunts over the last 7 years waves*

Haaland to the rags next season.

Thinking about it that could be the rag plan all along? Get sancho this summer and cavani for a season and then get the Haaland and sancho duo back together as both mino and the world know the rags would pay £40-50 agents fees on top?

Not true, IF just for example we were his best footballing destination and that door is closed because his agent demands £40 mill. Then choosing Raiola as his agent so he gets more money is a choice of money over footnalling reasons

Same can be said for almost every player who signed for us too. Let's stop fooling ourselves. We pay damn great money.

It's why we often can't afford to get player projections wrong. Coz when we do, we are stuck with them.

Difference is silverware.

That's a narrow and unrealistic view. My overarching point is that there are No "best footballing choices." Or better yet, it's not something you can judge prior to making the choice.

You first make the decision, and the reality of whether it was the "best" choice comes after the fact. The only thing you can predict prior is your money.

Was Bony moving to City the best footballing decision? How about Mendy? Mangala? Clearly, the answer is now a certifiable No.

But there is no way they could have known that prior to trying. Since you can't know. Players should focus on what they know. If multiple high profile clubs are after you, and they are all similarly rated... Go with who pays you the most.

It's says something about how they rate you too. But you really will never know if it'd work. So focus on what you know: Your Money.

Silverware is great. But for most top players they want Silverware in which they are a key contributor. Not just a role guy. It's why Same left and Laporte and Berny are now considering it.

How much a team offers you compared to similarly rated teams is often a rough barometer of how much they rate you. Some do some players more than others.

Besides, lots of real competitors will rather join a slightly lesser team to help take down the Giant rather than join a team that is already winning without them and may only need them as support as opposed to being key.

There are many factors at play, and not all of them line up with the wishes of fans.

But just for the record, the best footballing choice is almost never to go join the biggest baddest boys. Sometimes, you want to be a part of the takedown of the Giants (or die trying). Or even better, be a part of building a new champion...

Funny enough, that used to be our attraction. Come join the future. We are now the Present. Which Paradoxically makes someone else the future builder.

Sure we’ve made errors in the market.
But if we are interested.
We purr as a machine under Pep.
If you don’t want to be very well payed and improve your game.
Then your a throbber and a bell end.

Same applies to most of the top clubs who sign players on big contracts.

Just look at the mess Barca, Real, Juve even Bayern get into, not only us with the likes of Mendy.

All clubs make mistakes.

Where has this come from? He's got 1 photo in a City top.. Has he ever said he's a city fan? Has his dad ever said he's a city fan?
There's pictures of him attending City games as a teenager with his father, and there's strong rumours that apparently he was pushed into leaving a Norwegian Man City fan group on Facebook (for obvious reasons). This idea of him being a blue hasn't come from nowhere.

He could support other teams too I guess, I don't know him. But he definitely has an affinity to the club.

There are pictures of me attending city away games against Spurs, Everton Derby, and a lot worse. Doesn't mean I'm a fan of them?
Him being an alleged blue will not come into play.
Let's not forget, if his Dad wasn't a blue and lets be honest, a mediocre one, would there be rumours of him coming?

His dad's wearing City blue too. This is at the 2014 League Cup final.

So a 12 year old kid, wearing a blue hat is now a city fan?
Don't get me wrong, the kid is likely to be a superstar but he is NOT a city fan! I've heard it from the horses mouth some 5 years ago. He's never been a blue, he's not a blue!
His dad once played for us. His dad isn't a blue either.
If he comes here, or definitely isn't because he's a blue.
Believe me or not I don't really care.
