Erling Haaland

I've gone from being quietly confident it will happen but trying to not get too hopeful.. to I'll be shocked if he's not a city player next season

His links with Haaland is greatly exaggerated. He actually has some decent contacts in german football, but never seems to be fed anything spectacular. He is usually way to occupied by his own opinions to even register the info he is fed anyway. He is also an absolute cock
The thing is that Alfie likes his tweets from time to time, lol

Be interesting to see what front 3 Pep uses if/when we sign Haaland
Id love to see a

Foden - Haaland - Sterling
Grealish - Rodri - KDB

Front six in one game, prob the lineup im looking forward to most tbh

I don't doubt they are friends, they played together for the national team for ages. Alfie seems to like to stir the pot a bit occasionally as well.

Put it this way, I think every norwegian is surprised every time Fjørtoft gets brought up as some kind of "itk" journalist internationally. He works the television circuit for the bundesliga broadcaster over here and is always several days or weeks behind the rumor mill.

And I can't stress this enough: The man is an absolute cock. The time he was shot down by Erling himself in the middle of a interview because he tried to switch to english to get his 5 minutes of fame tells you everything about how much a leech he is

No club worth its salt would fail to cover themselves on such an overall package.

Six is pretty standard for such transfers and also helps spread the cost better.
It'll be interesting to see how much of an impact Haalands desire for a release clause will impact on things here. He could be gone from City just when he's reaching his prime.

Our history of letting players leave when they want to leave for a reasonable fee “should” be enough to satisfy any concerns on the haaland representative side. But realise thats naive. 100% there will be a release clause.

But if he signs on for 6 years and wants to leave after 3 years then fine and we’ll move on. Suspect it will be a £100m+ fee anyway and a “non-prem” clause for our safety.

Expecting any player to devote half/most of their career to us is asking a lot. Especially for a player of his level. We’ve been spoiled over the years.

I think its fair to assume Silva, Aguero etc werent signing thinking theyd do 10 years. Nothing saying the same wont happen again here. Player (and agents) get well looked after
