In terms of signings I wouldn't make many, if we sign Pantillimon on a full deal or another back up keeper then we are fine in that department. We also have good depth in our full back positions especially with players like Nedum playing again.

Allot of people think we need a new centre back but im happy with lescott and kompany with savic and toure as back ups and rekik and boyata proving there worth.

For midfield and attack we definitely need a pacy winger. Hoilett and Hazzard would be good signings and for attack when Tevez leaves that leaves us with 3 centre forwards with guidetti and bunn as back and that should enough.

Gonzalez is supposed to be excellent for Aberdeen on loan so have a feeling we might make him our #3 and get rid of true deadwood Taylor. Even though Aberdeen are near the bottom they've conceded only 11 goals, while most of the teams around them have leaked in 15-20, and a lot of that is due to him.

I agree with this to be honest. Hoilett has looked good recently and would be a great signing being young and also may accept not playing every game. Personally I'd like to see this over January and Summer:

1 CB: Hummels or Subotic
1 CM: Wilshere, M'Vila, Martinez or Canales
1 WF/ST: Hoilett, Lavezzi or Hazard

Honestly, I would purchase Demba Ba at the end of the season. This is a player with a fantastic strike rate at ever level he's played at. At 26-27 he'd be coming into his prime and looking for his finest paycheck. He's a big strong player forward who is very good in the box. He's scored 53 goals in 123 total games. Our 4th striker is not someone who is going to play every game. He'll play something close to 13-15 games per season. Next summer he'll have two years left on his deal and Newcastle will be looking to either break even or make some change.
