The nice thing about that design is when they go bust, they can just put some loading bay doors in and turn it into a Sainsburys distribution centre.

It will be great for the league having City, Arsenal, Rags, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs, Everton and West Ham all having 55K-60K+ capacity stadiums by 2020.
Might go the other way if the clubs carry on with their greed at £70 a game ,they might end up with half empty stadium's or levels only open for certain games !

Building that will be like painting the fourth bridge. They'll put in a new layer of bricks and they'll be nicked by the time you come into work the following morning!

I think we are seeing signs of that already at lots of clubs (including City). There's a price point somewhere, and we might be approaching it.
The middle classes will bore of it eventually, it's still a bit of a novelty 'going to a match' so far.

You can't TWOC a Tower Crane so that will have to do!

Lighten the mood? Perhaps not. :-(

Don't know if anyone else noticed in the Our New Home information pack, but the renders give a clear indication of how the roof and section near the LCD screens will look. You can compare them to the pictures I took last week of the steel roof sections and supports being lifted into place

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Threa

Corner section fully in place this morning when i drove passed on the South West side.

Other corner will not be put up until the old roof has been taken down. They are leaving the gap there so that the big crane can build a smaller crane inside the stadium to dismantle the roof

Hope we sign some decent players because half the seats will be empty after that shambolic performance yesterday and the price increases, great timing sending out all the season ticket literature, only at City eh! As you can see still hurting But CTID.

Thanks, I was wondering how they would get a crane in without fucking up the pitch (was thinking it would be a mobile crane based on the video). A static crane built inside the stadium makes much more sense.

Cheers!
