I'd not be averse to seeing more murals like that around the stadium, or at least on signage etc. It's fantastic.

The very pale blue stuff we have now looks faded and aged (probably the look they wanted), but a that more saturated blue really looks good. Not to mention the spirit of yesteryear playing footie in the street.

Going pear shaped on the pitch, but perfect shape off it. Definitely something to cheer about!

I had to drive to Gorton fire station the other night past the academy and station and the area is completely transformed, all the new stuff not just a City but the surrounding area look fantastic and really say so much about where our club is heading.

It's a bloody big Meccano set. :lol:

Note the lifting rig/boom is being used to lift one the of roof cable support wires into place.(if you ever wanted to know how they get them up there) Sections of the new roof in between the main stand and south stand were being put into place today. The steel roof support that sticks out is massive. Another one will be added to the other side of the stand. 5/6 pictures per post.(24 pictures in total)

I think what City have done so well is to keep the designs quite simple but use strong shapes for the buildings, a basic palette of materials and really bolster things with the landscaping. It works so well. The whole area looks so modern and in the sun looks stunning. If the landscaping is well maintained, any potential signing whether young or old, would do well to resist joining our club. Got such a good feel to the area.

That first pic with the guys in the scissor lift gives a great view of the scale because they look tiny in comparison.
Do you know if the club has a time lapse in progress for the build?
