When we moved in first time it was supposed to be 48,000 and we only ended up at 47,500. The actual new stand has more than they estimated - it's the loss on the lower and middle tiers that has been bigger than calculated.

It matters very little in the grand scheme of things anyway when you think we have only just started to rebuild the stadium and we are at 54,000.

Same here. Looking forward to seeing it (more or less) finished. Last time I was over was the Villa game in April, and its come on a long ("massive", even!) way in those 4 months.

I'd guess they'd take stock of how things have gone with the South stand extension and then could probably have spades in the ground at the end of the season.

Wow! The most impressive thing is the acoustics. I poo poohed everyone saying that it would be noisier due to the angle of the roof and materials because of the height of the roof but when you are in the stand it is really loud and you can pick up that the sound is bouncing back.
