Do I have to effing write it again ASDA IS NOT BEING BOUGHT.

the Mrs works for ASDA in the offices and city 'have' approached them for the site however ASDA do not want to shift or more than likely at what cost would they be compensated, there is nothing doing at the moment as you say but its a case of watch this space,we will eventually end up with the ASDA plot

Just had a look at the noise report and it seems to suggest that the geometry is enough to ensure noise doesn't exceed the required limit on the nearest residential properties. Doesn't mention the need for absorbent materials and confirms the removal of them in the existing roof.... so we should have a roof that help keep in noise!

I'll probably know her then

I am driving so will be quick - we will 100 percent own asda soon.

The old roof had lots of holes in it and absorbed sound - the new one will reflect it back into the stadium.

Trying to get an update on Colin bell 3 rows! Will find out tonight.

Good news. That roof should definitely help. The other factor that the club/planners won't have factored in the simple psychology of singing in a big stadium: many people only sing if others around them do. And songs spreading quickly in 2/3 directions at once is something we've never really had before, and I'm really hoping will spread around the stadium better than before because they will get much louder much quicker.

With up to 1000 away fans in the new 3rd tier, along with 5000 relocating and new City fans, it's sure to be a bit raucous up there.

Add to that 700 dedicated singers in the new singing section, blocks 115 and 114, which should get the rest of the South stand going.

And the usually noisy 111,110, and 109 blocks.

We should have a completely different atmosphere at the Etihad next season.

One thing that would seriously improve the atmosphere is songs that don't peter out after about 10 seconds, the ones that go on a bit, tend to grow, while the short ones die in the section they start. Having a smaller section of away fans will also help considerably, as one side will be able to hear the other side better, and might join in, one of the worst things about our singing is two stands singing different songs.

I also think that a lot of people who would sing, certainly I knew quite a few (self and son included) have relocated into the sections above the new singing area, and this should help spread the singing.

For those doubting I've been told that City are buying the athletics track. The price is based on turnover for a certain period, therefore it's currently being used for anything and everything hence trying to drive the price up. City will be providing a replacement. The source for this was involved on the athletics side.
