Often thought it would be cool to have one of those fake streets around the ground with various restaurants and bars...would pack the fans in I reckon

People need somewhere to sit down in the warmth & eat, inbetween watching the kids at the CFA & watching the first team later in the afternoon.

I've been saying this for ages
City Square is good but I'll be frozen through standing there from 1.45 till 4 between the two games

True, enough.

As is the reality that this entire development is not being built for the convenience of City fans.

It's for the wider public to come across to this side of the city and spend 24/7.

You could create a victorian Manchester themed strip...complete with cobbled street which also charted the history of our club

Theme Parks are an ever growing market in UAE. Bollywood Park and Legoland on the way near Dubai, for example, are on the way. As the other chap said, no reason why we can't have a Manchester theme park. I'd say the closest model is Global Village, which opens in the cooler months in Dubai. Lots of eateries and outside activities/shows. As I said about a casino, stranger things have happened. ON the back of such developments, you can guarantee that 4 and 5 star hotels will follow. Oh, and a Shopping Mall. It's the Emirati way of business and its only just started. ;)

Was thinking more along the line of the EDS in a representation of the Dickensian workhouse ;-)

All joking aside...restaurants and bars has to be a consideration...if you got chain companies, would be a big boost in revenue...and like a previous poster said..It would be nice to have more options to have a drink and bite to eat other than a plastic pint and ham barm in Mary Ds

Certainly seems to be the overriding theme I have heard.

One where global stars can be in residence from one week to the next - whether it be from boxing/UFC to Beyonce.

Those that attended Cardiff last season would've seen the sort of thing that's required and will eventually happen.

An area surrounding the stadium with units of KFC, Nandos, Burker King and even a Brewers Fayre pub for people to choose either with or without families to eat during the day.

I always thought it would be great to have a Manchester racecourse?

Not sure the requirements re size, but owing to our Emerati links and the money which would flow through the site, it would be a classier adaptation on a casino.

Especially so, when you consider the hotels and bars etc that would be required.

I've been to Haydock Park and it doesn't seem that big?
