Entirely depends on where the smaller away fan allocations will be located will it not?
Yes it does its been mentioned putting them in level 3 ,if that's the case you will have the tourists next to the singing section.
Does anyone no what the definitive plan is for low uptake away fans ?

I think you'll find that the 3rd tier will make loads of noise as a big part of it will have come from SS level 1, East 1 and others around the ground who want to make some noise.

I'm hoping the small following away teams are put in the third tier near me.

What is a tourist can tourists not sing
Yes if they put their phones and I pads down for long enough ! Just seems sad that the singers have got together in level one to create a good atmosphere and may not have any away fans to bounce off and instead end up next to people less likely to sing than regular fans who will have bought their tickets when they went on sale not when the away team return them

You don't know where the away fans are going, so you would rather have an empty block if away fans not there

In my opinion the away fans should be as far away from the pitch and cameras as possible, we should be able to create an atmosphere without having to bounce of away fans

Good point. I've sang in near empty stadiums with little/no opposition fans around. I'm not saying everyone will want to but if they seriously want to improve the atmosphere then they'll sing wherever, whenever.
"Tourists" as in people with no affiliation to the club probably won't sing however so maybe it's a case of sensible ticket distribution by the club as in people with more loyalty points are located in the empty seats nearer to the singing section.
But then the issue of people choosing where they want to sit arises so what can we really do?
What works best is one whole end of home fans, i'd have the away fans as far away from the singing section as possible, probably with the family stand... The away fans will struggle making any noise over the screaming kids and bored mums.

Ahh, I was under the impression the singing section was in tier 3.

In that case given that the cameras spend more time at pitch level I'd have thought that putting the away support in tier 1 and then moving up would be better and letting casuals fill the upper tiers where possible.

If the away club don't take up all the allocation wouldn't they be offered tier 1 first then tier 2 for 'security' reasons so that stuff can't be thrown forward? Is that an issue at Newcastle or the swamp?

Regarding a cap on using the ticket exchange, last season you were allowed to use the service up to six times to sell tickets, that seems reasonable for the new one. Full terms and conditions for new scheme not published yet afaik

The trouble with that is ste the more hard core casuals will buy their tickets early doors ,while the away returns only released just before the game.unless the away club say only take 2 tiers to start with

Hmm, good point.

I guess we'll just have to stand and wait until maybe the North stand is developed and throw all the away fans and tourists in there alongside the families and have all the lunatics (including myself) bouncing around in the SS

Putting the away fans with the kids and families is a great idea. Other end to the coach park as well.

This has been gone over many times

The reason they are not in the family stand is GMP

It's an access issue

Just had a drive past. Moved on hugely last two weeks. Turnstiles and cladding getting close. Still 2 and a half weeks.

sounds encouraging mate. Must be working alot harder ;-). I reckon the seating and facitilies like toilets, food/drinks will be done for chelsea game but features like the walls, piping and all sort of stuff like that wont be done until late august. Bet they havent painted the concourse! ;)

@111Lesley111: taken today on the stadium tour by Carla Ross

- Seats nearly all in new third tier
- Started to put new corporate seats in tier 2 of the South Stand
- Front tier roof supports have gone from being white to black
- The clear cover divide between the roof & stand looks thinner than the existing piece. People might get wet at the back of the tier, unless it's not finished of course.
- Front row seats nearly all in the East Stand
- Seats still not in the new end of East tier 3.

still that wont take long at all looking at that photo. With what 50 maybe more or less seats to go in?

Has gone alot further in two weeks though so should be 'done' from an outside perspective although I reckon things like the concourse won't be fully completed but can be used.
