United claim that they technically are pitchside, but behind the disabled section. I think Newcastle were given a dispensation for some reason.Someone better tell that to the rags and Newcastle

People should be grateful for what they have. There are NO pitch side seats at the London StadiumAway fans have to have a block pitchside it's in the Premier League’s rules. Came in a few years ago.
Well there’s supposedly 10 concerts at the Ethiad next year so it will have to start after them if they do.So according to Steve Bates it’s happening next summer then...very similar to the ITK news on here really.

As has been posted many times before, concerts were held during the time of the last expansion, so there is no problem.

I would think it can, the stage is at the North Stand end, but they will use the tunnel that comes in under the CB stand to set up/take down, and any work will be further round, so I think that both can coexist, when the work was at the South Stand end, it was mixed in amongst the spectators, but it was still able to work, they can keep people away from the North Stand end for the most part. That may not be the case. Access to set up and take down the stage, sound systems etc is at the north of the stadium. If 10 concerts are indeed planned then it doesn't sound like next summer is a goer.
I think one year initially they didn’t have any concerts, a lot if the stand at the back is taken up with scaffolding etc they need access to get it up and down plus they use behind the stand for the trucks for catering etc, it’s not just about what’s in the stadium .I would think it can, the stage is at the North Stand end, but they will use the tunnel that comes in under the CB stand to set up/take down, and any work will be further round, so I think that both can coexist, when the work was at the South Stand end, it was mixed in amongst the spectators, but it was still able to work, they can keep people away from the North Stand end for the most part.
Sounds like its planned to start in the summer anyway and be a two year timescale, last time it started February. So while this summers concerts are on there won't be much more than ground work going on doubt it would interfere with any concerts.I would think it can, the stage is at the North Stand end, but they will use the tunnel that comes in under the CB stand to set up/take down, and any work will be further round, so I think that both can coexist, when the work was at the South Stand end, it was mixed in amongst the spectators, but it was still able to work, they can keep people away from the North Stand end for the most part.

I presume though if it started this summer then City Square would need moving before the start of next season
I'm going off what @worsleyweb has posted that it will start in this summer and take two years , partly I suppose because its a different design, secondly because the South ended up being very tight for time, and thirdly I think the covered City Square / supporters zone will be incorporated into the build. Thats my impressin anyway.I was assuming build time would be the same as with the South Stand expansion but you may well be right if it's a two year build.
I wonder whether that's based on this topic or whether they have verified the story.Report from MailOnline

One Direction? FFS. To be fair though, they probably weren't as bad as that Pearce season! The only time there wasn’t concerts was the final summer (2015) before it opened as they needed cranes on the pitch to pull off the old roof and put the front rows on to the new third tier.
During the first summer of development (2014) One Direction played at the stadium.
