The point still remains thoughSeems it's more about the transport and road network than the club, so not sure your point makes sense.

Don’t believe it does. Don’t think they care any more or any less than any of our owners. Don’t believe they get things wrong any more often than our previous owners either. Just these days we have forums to sit and moan on, and we are quicker to moan than we were in the past. The point still remains though
People are coming up with some very good ideas but seem to have missed the point that The Club don't give a shit about us anymore. So I wouldn't waste anymore time with your well intended suggestions.
Hackney Wick good for a pint always use that routeI have always found it easy getting away from the West Ham stadium if you keep away from Stratford and use the Hackney Wick overground which is the fastest way back to Euston anyway. Hackney Wick is much closer to the stadium than Stratford. The traffic on the nearby roads seemed very quiet last week immediately after the match, presumably because most people use public transport. Fans have a choice of main line station (Stratford International); Overground at Hackney Wick or Stratford; and Docklands LIght Railway. On the other hand Spurs was a nightmare.
On the MCC Local Development plan that site is earmarked for what looks like residential development along Merill St and Chesshyre Ave with a green space behind it. No chance of that being a transport interchangeI had a thought the other week as I was walking past it.
There’s a large grassed area along Merrill Street that would make an ideal location for a Etihad stadium and Coop Live Arena transport interchange, where buses, Taxis, and additional Trams could wait for people leaving the Etihad stadium and the Coop Live Arena.
It’s less than 5 minutes down Ashton New Road from the Etihad. It’s distance from the stadium and arena would stagger people arriving, it’s closer to town, and the buses wouldn’t get stuck behind people walking along Ashton New Road after the match. On a matchday the only use for that large grassed area is people parking their cars along the roads and on the grass verges.

Bonkers idea if you ask me. You buy a fleet of electric buses and then use them for a few hours in a maximum of around 30 days a year. They would spend 95% of their time stuck in the garage.Sounds great but how many buses would be needed and if they are just stuck in the trafic after the game who'd use them.

Why will we stop winning trophies when Pep leaves, I think he’s the best there is but doesn’t mean we won’t win whith whoever comes next. Even if we drop off a bit we won’t get the empty stadium you are predictingThe club will do when Pep leaves, the team stops winning matches and trophies, and the crowds drop off. How do you wand a tumbleweed as it rolls past you? On the plus side, getting on public transport might be easier?

It would be far cheaper to offer a free taxi service for all supporters.

Yes.is it bad at west ham?
Got a bleep on my Covid App as well. Transportation and crowd management was appalling. It is only going to get worse.Don't agree about West ham thought it was brilliant last week ,kept us on the move 2 stops at handheld stop signs no problems on the station or platform and seats on the tube
The buses can be used in rush hours by Tgm it’s hell getting in and out of town and only getting worse. Let me explain, say the bus is in use 3.30 till 6pm on a Tuesday ferrying workers students etc in and out of town. the bus driver gets paid overtime to ferry fans to the game 6-7.30 and then 9.30 till 10.30. Weekends might be a bit more tricky.Bonkers idea if you ask me. You buy a fleet of electric buses and then use them for a few hours in a maximum of around 30 days a year. most of the traffic is caused by people in cars. The people are in cars so much because the public transport to the stadium is shite. Sort the infrastructure and with bit of smart thinking in terms of traffic light and possibly even some road temporarily dedicated to the the bus. Also, who says every bus has to go to the city centre? I live in bury, do I get the tram or bus? No, cos their shite! Sort it and I probably would. Add bury, Bolton, Denton, Stockport etc on and on…… And you know what, if when the arena is finished and we have decent bars and restaurants I’d get here a bit earlier spend a few quid too!Sounds great but how many buses would be needed and if they are just stuck in the trafic after the game who'd use them.
80 vehicles x 800k = £64 million. city Took a 650 million loan for “infrastructure”. We have a 54k stadium and a 23k arena right next to each other that nobody is going to be able to reach if we don’t do something. Joint venture with silverlake , council/TGFM would piss this. Are we really back to discussing pie in the sky fantasy ideas about City buying a £100m fleet of electric buses.
To me, adding a load of buses around the campus is a step backwards, especially when we have the (so called) more advanced tram system slap bang in the middle of it.most of the traffic is caused by people in cars. Nobody is sorting out buses from the ground to outer town anytime soon, all those things require big council investment at a time they have more pressing concerns. You make a good point about the arena though but more after the game, decent bars and restaurants would probably make people hang around after the game and thin out the rush to get away from the campus.most of the traffic is caused by people in cars.
