Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

Cheers fbloke...didn't pay much attention before. The long game indeed.

Thanks Kramer - there's little in the way of 'architecture' in the academy plans (not that there really need to be given what it is - it's impressive enough as it is) just wondering if they're also involved in anything to do with the stadium and/or collar/leisure site.

Vinoly's latest proposal is for this impressive 1400 foot high dwelling in Nu Yawk:

A bit of that magic rubbed off on t'Etihad site would be nice :)

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

Interesting reading all the planning applications that go into building just one bridge. Exciting how it's coming along.

I noted the application for "future branding" and the diagram appears to be a bridge. Does this mean we could have an "Etihad bridge/walkway" linking the two sites?
I think it's only fair, given the reported £400M outlay, that Etihad get a bridge ;)

I agree, for a further £400m they can name the bridge.

That should sort out FFPR for a while ;-)

Or if some people on here get their wish, we could sack Mancini, keep his compensation and name the bridge after him.

For everything he has done for our club (and will hopefully continue to do so) its the least he deserves.

Plus we save 4 years worth of compensation towards FFP

I dont think Roberto is in for such things and he would prefer the bridge to be named after the fans.

Maybe after an ex player, got to be Wayne.

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

Imagine if the club ran a competition via the MUEN to name the bridge. TBH it would be f***ing hilarious. The Rags would have a field day.

MASSIVE Bridge, Bitter Bridge, Bertie Magoo Bridge, etc.

I'd probably put forward the Agueroooooooooooo Bridge. Imagine how many letter O's you would have to use along the full length of the bridge. :-? Perhaps *Welcome To Manchester* would be another good suggestion? Or, *You'll Never See Anything Like This Bridge Ever Again*.
