Here's one I brought up on here a while back that has come to fruition.

Patrick Viera came down to Bredbury Blues last night for a special Supporters Club Branch Meeting at Stockport Sports Village - I asked him outright if he'd seen ANY plans or models of any stadium expansion and he said no - given his involvement in the Etihad Campus work I'd have thought he'd have seen something, so may be any plans really are supper secret... :-(

Nothing against you Steve, but I don't believe him. ;-) (he should know though jrb)

There's no way the Etihad's capacity will stay at 47,750(?) if City are serious about increasing match day revenue. Sold out signs every home match and absolutely no chance of increasing corporate revenue with the grounds current configuration.(club level 2?)

I suppose only time will tell.

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

Maybe they are saving the announcement for the day after the season ends? Good way to bury the disappointment. :)

Can't wait for all the piss taking from the deluded rags who actually think we don't sell out, then our 50,000-60,000 attendance the first day after the expansion is complete.

Of course he has seen them!

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

Had the pleasure of sitting with the Mrs today in the South Stand Upper tier. Above blocks 110/111.

Thought I'd make the most of it a take a couple some pictures.

Double click to enlarge.

Today.

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

Click twice 2 emlarge.

Taken today.

20,000 empty seats. are you f***ing sure?

As per some empty seats in the corporate section, family stand, and in some other parts of the stadium. However, Newcastle only sold the bottom tier of the away end, leaving an extra 1000+ seats taken by City fans in the upper tier of the away end. To my left.

More proof that the stadium needs expanding.

Great photo jrb and even better work Photoshopping people into those 20,000 empty seats. ;)

There were the usual sporadic empties today (and genuinely 20,000 empty seats 5 minutes from full-time) but as usual no-shows from ticket holders and certainly not something that would stop the club expanding.

Considering it was the Easter Weekend, the title is all but lost, Newcastle United only took half of their allocation, as well as not being the draw they used to be, the crowd of 47,000+ was more than decent.
