Has anyone been recieving the Etihad City Supporter Deals via Email?
Out of general interest I attempted to book three seperate flights via Etihad.com/mcfcdiscount I also used my SeasonCard discount and noted the total price I had to pay.
I then went directly to Etihad's own website, bought the same flight(s) and noted the total price for each individual flight.
The flights were much cheaper when I booked through Etihad's own website, the prices were over-inflated through the MCFC section and were much dearer even when including the apparent seasoncard "discount"
I also used another third-party flight website and they offered much reduced tickets than both the official Etihad website and the mcfc website.
So, the emails for me were misleading. I thought I was getting a discount, when I was actually getting a different price for being a 'City fan, but given a slight discount to soften the blow.
Btw, I've flown Etihad a few times and I rate them as the best Airways I've ever flown with.
