“The whole market has been impacted due to corporations tightening their belt, so corporate travel has been impacted," said Mr Hogan.
Nevertheless, Etihad still expects to meet its targets, as the airline anticipates carrying 19 million passengers this year, up from 17.6 million last year.

Etihad is doing just fine and contributes billions of dollars to the Abu Dhabi economy.

The increase in brand recognition from having their name on the stadium and shirts must be enormous and well worth the money the Executive Council paid.

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, announced its strongest annual financial results to date, with a net profit of US$ 103 million on total revenues of US$ 9.02 billion.

The performance, which marked the airline’s fifth consecutive year of net profitability, also saw earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) of US$ 259 million, and earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, amortisation and rentals (EBITDAR) of US$ 1.4 billion, representing 16 per cent of total revenues.

And a new sponsorship deal with us in the bag!

Man City are now making a profit. We don't have to depend on Etihad Airlines to fund us!

In my opinion , Etihad is classier then Emirates.
I agree. Just about. The live football on Etihad swung it for me. But what annoys me about both of them is that you'd think the "national airline" would be able to park the plane next to the terminal in their home city, rather than a 20 minute bus ride away.
