Eto'o Contract Offer

1) Barca can't stop him leaving he has a buy out clause of 25m

2) Been using us to see if Barca will offer him another contract looks like manager wants new blood

3) Once he realises can't get new contract he will come to us.

Just might take a bit of time but it seems things are starting to move.

We could have a holy trinity strike force of Robbie Tevez and Eto o
next year with RSC, Boj and Bellars on the bench to mix things up depending on opposition.

I can't see Barca letting him go unless they sign another striker of similar quality like Villa/Ibrahimovic etc.

We may have to lower our sights a little at the present time.

apparently Forlan has verbal agreement with Barca

Ye Forlan came to barca and asked them to sign him and barca told him to ' FUCK OFF ' they both agreed he wasnt good enuff and thats the verbal agreement. AMEN

There is a way that all footballers or highly paid individuals are paid nowadays, the club pay the players company that is based in either IOM or Monaco(there maybe other places also),it is classed as a pension fund however in turn they can then draw down interest free loans from this company and neither the company or the individual pay the usual gross amount of tax and this remains for an indefinate period.

So as for Eto I can't see tax being an issue!!!!

MEN (Manchester Online)seems to be suggestion that the Eto thing is on. Apparently his agent says is he were offered twice the money he's on, he might not be able to resist. Bit like the Barry manouvre.

BREAKING NEWS: Barcelona & Zlatan Ibrahimovic Reach Agreement - Spanish Media
A deal for Barcelona to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been agreed, and all that is missing for the transfer to become official is for Samuel Eto'o to give his okay to move the other way...

Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be on his way to Barcelona after the European champions reached a deal with Inter, but the move depends on whether Samuel Eto'o agrees to the other way, according to a report.

El Mundo Deportivo state that days of negotiating have produced an agreement that would see the Italian outfit receive €10 million plus the services of the Cameroonian striker.

That is a lot lower than Inter president Massimo Moratti is reported to have wanted when he dined in Barcelona with Blaugrana chief Joan Laporta last week, when he asked for Eto'o and €40m.

Ibrahimovic is keen to make the transfer because he believes that he will have more chance of winning the Champions League at Camp Nou than he would if he stays at the San Siro, the report claims.

On the flip side, Eto'o will only make the move simple if his wage demands are met and Inter may him the €65m over five seasons that he is believed to have asked for.

During talks with Barcelona on Monday, Eto'o's representative did not reach an agreement with the club to stay or go and that has left his next move up in the air.

Last summer coach Pep Guardiola told the former Real Mallorca star on his list that he was not wanted and could leave along with Deco and Ronaldinho, but the player was transformed in pre-season training and earned his place in the squad.

That move paid dividends, but the new trainer was alleged to have been considering looking for a player with Ibrahimovic's physique to lead his front line and he may now have landed him.

Laporta has stated that he would keep Eto'o if it was down to him, but he was full of praise for what Ronaldinho had done for the club in the months leading up to his departure.

Journalists in Catalunya have been surprised by the lack of movement at Camp Nou so far this summer, given that last term the club moved quickly to wrap up their activity before the main holidays.

I wonder if the deal for Ibrahimovic is entirely dependent on Eto'o making the move in the opposite direction or whether there is a 100% cash option too.
