Where would you fit, Robinho, Eto'o, Tevez, SWP, Ireland, Barry and de Jong in the same team?

-----------------Eto'o-----------------

Robinho---Ireland------Barry---Shauny/Tevez

-----------------De Jong---------------

Exactly, I dont understand people saying they would drop Shauny for Tevez on the right wing, Shauny is full of pace, takes people on and is perfect on the counter. Not to mention he is a city legend already. Tevez is slow but puts himself about, by no means a winger either. Which is why i think we should pass on Tevez.

That is a disgraceful line up Mr Bc!!

....Dejong...Bazza
MrT...Ireland...Rob
........ETO.......

Thats the sort of team that will have the faint hearted shiting themselves.

*tut*

Its exactly the same as yours only in your little diagram you places Barry next to De Jong where as i placed him next to ireland, That was just my layout. Also, you went with Tevez which is the only difference, i would go with Shauny Wright.

Barry is left footed and has been bought to give our little Robi more freedom, he will also bring on Mr Bridge...All in all he's probably one of the most important buys for Hughes in his City career!! I love Shauny, but in all honesty he's half the player he was and suffers with cronic crossing. If he spent some time perfecting this role he'd be one of the best wingers in the world!!! Come on Shauny get to crossing school this half term and show us what your made of, otherwise you will find yourself slowly losing your grip on you first team position!!

I'am a bit pissed though Bc... :)

The thing is we don't have the same prestige as the rags. You can't really justify dropping SWP, and I'm sure he didn't come back to sit on our bench, same applies if Tevez joins, he wouldn't want to swap United's bench for ours.

You can't keep constantly rotating the team, or it will just upset the team chemistry in the long run.

IF (big if) we got those players, it could be a good selection headache to have, or it couldn't depending on how certain players react to being dropped.

sorry but i think your wrong. right you would say camel gob and vidic are first choice centre halves for the rags but evans has easily played 20+ games. i think to be sucessful you have to rotate the team. too many times i've been there and said we miss swp or we miss ireland. if you havr the right squad you have many match winners and rotation is key

But if Ferdinand didn't hit injury then would he have accepted sitting on the bench for United. Also, like he says, sitting on the bench for united and then sitting on the bench for City is a completely different kettle of fish.

One thing Jay, we are not little City anymore and as soon as players and fans realise that then we will start our attack on the so called big four. BIG squads are the new black!!!

injuries are part and parcel.

we are obviously in stage two of development as we are promising players playing time whereas the big teams do not have to do this. Look at Ballack on the bench in the fa cup final. we move on to the next stage when players want to come to us to prove themselves and not for money. yes you need a strong first 15 which you pick you first 11 from for the big games but injuries are part and parcel and you need another 10 of a balance of quality up and comers, the cream, and then quality experienced players who don't expect to play every game

Yes rotation is key, at important times; i.e loss of form, injuries etc. Just like Rio was out for a while, in which Evans had to step up.

You do make a valid point, but it's the fact most top/quality players won't want to come here to sit on our bench as were not in the position to make a title challenge (yet), like United and Liverpool were so they could afford to rest top players. But we will see what Hughes does come the season start, no doubt it will be a very very exciting summer/season :-).

NO IT'S NOT!!!! It's a state of mentality we all have to overcome. City's changed yet we haven't, but by christ we need to or we might aswell be City of past forever. You don't want that, I don't want that and those players who are happy with that can pack their bags pronto!!!! Viva the revolution...and all that!!

Suppose that having 2 quality players in each position should make every player fight for their place, if we've got that, then it's all down to Hughes judgement, rather then the players reputation.

The article in the link above was posted at 1142CET, 0040BST.

Without going in to too much detail (My Spanish isn't THAT great and I can't be bothered to translate it properly) it says that Barcelona have offered Eto'o a new contract of two years, which Eto'o has no intention of signing. The reported offer was similar to the terms in his present agreement, but Eto'o is disappointed that the club hasn't recognised that his goals contributed to Barcelona's unprecedented success this season.
