cant agree mate, thought ethuh did ok, but lost the ball many times and was never on anyone elses wavelength...ever...throughout 90mins! in fairness he was just 'there'.....nothing too wrong...and nothing special. Its like when hughes kept persisting with Evans, hes a hard worker and would be good for someone who needs a grafter....but in fairness hes not gonna cut it in the direction the clubs heading now....so is it worth leavingg someone who has the ability and potential on the bench to play a hard worker like ethuh and evans, or give the talented players like wiess and Jo/caicedo a shot?....and my god hughes tried pushing Evans before he eventually realised caicedo was better!
it actually annoyed me he played a full game as i wouldnt mind seein vladi weiss get a good amount of time against a good team. weiss' well known weakness is his defending and gettin back, so Hughes should have given him the chance to show he can attack and put in a shift when he needs to over a full game. if he aint gonna trust him in pre season hes got no chance starting a game when the season starts!...if you ask me putting ethuh in like today was just taking a safe option to protect the result....(which back fried as we lost!)
