Because you said so. :) You obviously mistake 'good' for 'pretty'. A common mistake.sjk2008 said:DruntBlunt said:Yes I did, and I considered mentioning him as well. But. If you study the two goals more closely there is quite a difference. Zlatan has plenty room to move, is not pressed nearly as hard as Mario, and can therefore maneuver his body-weight OVER the ball in time for impact. This makes it fairly easy to press the ball down, i.e a good kick, but one that plenty of players has the capacity to do once in a while.
What makes Mario's goal so special is that he has to lean deep into the defending player in order to position himself. When he hits the ball his body-weight is far BELOW the ball. He still manages to press the ball down and into goal. That is absolutely amazing and something not many, if anyone, can do after him. The Norwegian national coach who was a pundit at the broadcasting of the game here was nearly brought to tears when he saw it.
Zlatan's was a better goal. End of.

At least the goal he scored should be mentioned. I absolutely seriously don't think there are any other players in the world ( possibly Ronaldo ) who could combine strength, technique and composure in a single moment like that.
Did you see Ibrahimovic's goal last night?

You might not agree with "DruntBlunt", but the point he made was far from pointless!istillovemikeriley said:DruntBlunt said:Yes I did, and I considered mentioning him as well. But. Balotelli and Ibrahimovich probably divide opinion - and affection - more than any other player at the euros. For some, one or the other is one of the greatest, for others the same one can never do anything right.
No wonder when a "discussion" concerning both is concerned, that blind prejudice proclaims itself as considered opinion - on both sides of the "argument".
