Looking at doing the France & the Ukraine games in the summer, holidays are tight with us being in europe and daytrips are going to be approx £500 a pop per game.

There are people that seem to have the nack of getting cheap flights that aren't necessarily direct but will get you in and out with a 1 night stop over.

Does anyone have any suggestions on routes to get to Donetsk in the Ukraine on the 11th June & 19th June?

Thanks

Ukraine is quite hard country to travel to on your own, especially to such a remote cities as Donetsk or Kharkiv. Lack of low-cost airlines and generally lack of airlines for this part of Europe doesn`t make it a piece of cake.
Even if you manage to go to my country at relatively low cost (ticket prices are already higher for june though) train travel to destination point will be a murder. Route is long and communication with station/train staff would be a problem as well. You can buy your train ticket in England/Germany/Poland but that will cost you much more than face value of the ticket.
Car hire companies are not happy with customers willing to drive abroad and if you want to travel east that`be even harder.
Some English people managed to get some cheap tickets through Turkey I`ve heard but that was just after group`s been revealed so now it may be as expensive as other scheduled trips casue all airlines taking advantage now.
Probably tour-operators packages will be the best and safest options for Ukraine based fans but expensive of course.

yeah I have looked at all sorts of options and most include either really long drives or really long train journeys which will make each trip at least 3 days.

thomas cook are doing a trip to the Ukraine game, flying from Manchester for £475ish. That is looking my best option so far.

Wish we had been drawn in Poland!!!
