Euro 2016 Predict The Winner

Can't see anyone besides France, Germany, or Spain. Belgium should make the semis.
Another one who's not aware of the schedule, Belgium & Germany meet in the QF's already...

By the way, am I the only one who thinks it's a shame that the entire tournament is already scheduled up front, as in winner group E meets second group F etc. ... ?

Personally, I'd very much prefer to have new drawings after the group stage. Group winners in one bowl, 2nd's and best 3rd's in another ...

How do you know they'll meet - couldn't Belgium finish second in their group and go an entirely different route, or Germany in that case?! I've not checked the full details of the draw as the UEFA website annoys me but I assume this is the way - particularly as there are certain 3rd placed teams eligible to qualify from the groups still - it doesn't seem as clear cut as usual where you know the two teams you might play and the route beyond that?!

I may be wrong though.

Personally don't see Belgium doing much in any case, a good side but they just lack something for me - it's probably the ability to do it in a big tournament. Italy have the know how in a tournament and I don't think Ireland or Sweden will fear Belgium the way they might Spain/Germany.

We'll see.

I think it will be one of the usual suspects - Germany, Spain or Italy, with Portugal doing well and the likes of Belgium and England making the latter stages but falling short. The defensive and midfield options available for the Spanish and German sides are unbelievable even though their options up front are limited so they'll still do well. There's no way England or Belgium could defend for 90 mins without conceding against them and it's whether they'd create enough the other end to beat them. In friendlies maybe, in tournaments probably not. Italy can defend and are experienced and though their side isn't amazing on paper they'll still do well.

Yeah, sorry, I just took the most likely route.

Belgium played Italy in a friendly last year and that was probably our easiest victory in the last 10 years ... I know it's just a friendly, but still, Italy have their poorest generation in history and I can actually see them finish 3rd or 4th in the group, in spite of their tournament reputation. I don't really believe in tournament reputation either, tbh, a player, a coach or a group of players can have a tournament rep, but not a country as such, just look at Holland even missing out on the Euros!

The year before I think we beat Sweden in another friendly and it was 3-0 or something (nice Lukaku goal if I remember correctly). Anyway I can't see much problems for Belgium in group stage, but QF v Germany (assuming most likely route) will mean the end. As you said, no way Belgium will keep a clean sheet or manage to score more goals. I think that counts for any team playing Germany this summer, hence Germany the winners.

Diego Costa.

Oh wait, Brazil aren't in it.

Oh wait, he plays for Spain.

Oh wait, he's not been picked.

:)

I will go Germany.
Rest counts for a bit in these big tournaments English Premier League players never get it, lack of a winter break kills them. Even the none English premier league players often underperform unless they have had a spell out with injury and are then fully recovered.
Spain could struggle like in the last world cup with two Spanish teams making Champs league final plus several others in the latter stages plus a very tight run in for the title.
Bayern have had the title sewn up for a bit and are not in Champs league final so have probably eased off the gas a bit.
France obviously have a decent chance but are getting quite a few injuries at the back. Belgium are pretty good , think they will miss Vinny though
Could be an outsider again but I will go with Germany
