Who will win Euro 2020?

I think White is a good prospect, my worry is that Southgate picked him because he can also play as a DM, fuelling my fear that he will start with 2 DMs to the exclusion of one of Foden, Mount, or Grealish in which case my telly will be in danger.

I can't see England winning it with Southgate in charge, my vote goes to Roberto's Italy who have been quietly improving over the last couple of years.

I think it's certain he'll have 2 DMs vs Croatia. Rice and one other.

I can understand that for one match, but it shouldn't be the starting plan against the Czechs or Scots.

He does have a lot of attacking options, it'll be interesting to see who the others are. We have to play someone who will attack from wide right - last night there was nobody there for half the match.

Has JWP shagged southgate's missus or something? Staggering he's been left out, he's not at a popular club and doesn't have media support but he's better than the majority of that midfield.

Nothing against White, I would have had him and Godfrey in ahead of Coady and Mings anyway but I think there's a greater need for JWP. Such a poorly balanced squad, can't imagine how imbalanced it would have been if he had to trim it to the normal 23.

All if the Spanish team now isolating how the hell do they think this tournament can be completed only takes one player the day before to test positive and throws it into chaos

No jwp so he can shoehorn arrogant hendo in
Funny isn't it.

Waistcoat was saying he's a positive influence and is good around the squad. Yet him acting the **** yesterday shows otherwise.

I'm starting to suspect he was the **** that leaked Sterling's scrap and Foden breaking curfew.

So much for team leader...

You're spot on. It's because Gareth has two passengers in Maguire and Hendo. He doesn't know for sure they'll be fit to play any part. So he's picked 4 other CBs just in case. Why he's also picked 5 full backs I do not know. 8 is the going rate in a 23 man squad. 9 would have been okay. He doesn't need Tripper, James and Walker. He doesn't need 5 CBs. Two spare places right there for JWP and Ings.

You need more than 2 strikers when you're England. And you need someone creative from deep. Otherwise you'll end up with loads of talent all queuing up in the box and no one being able to get the ball to them.

I would expect Gareth to set England up not to lose against Croatia. To show a little bit more intent against Scotland and then to beat the Czech Republic (because if we don't we'll be out!)
