Europa/Conference League Games | Quarter-Finals | 10/17 April '25

Lets take our hatred of united out the equation.

I want my coach to do what he has to do with the tools at his disposal. United have one decent player in the rat. Hojlund up front is championship level.
So if hoofing it to maguire works, on occasion, as it has, well thats what he has to do
i wouldnt care what the coach had n hadnt said. United are 13th. They are wank. They dont have the players to continue passing and pressing teams so to get over the line they do what they have to do.

Posters comparing it to the aguerooo and Gundo goals are just silly, united dont have those players to pull those goals off.
It was beautiful, wasn’t it, the Aguero goal. No matter how many years pass, and can you believe it’s 13 years, if that clip pops up on whatever platform, I watch it again and again. I can still feel that feeling I had when that goal went in.

Once again you've spectacularly missed the point.

It's not about what people do or don't do. It's about what they say AND do.
You know, talk the talk and walk the walk.

If I tell you I've given up drinking and then you see me pissed on a friday night, you lose respect for me, my word means nothing, and I become a joke.

You wouldn't look and think "Oh, he's had a tough week, I'll let him off this one", you'd give me shit and take the piss out of me. And rightly so, because I'm telling you one thing whilst doing another

THAT's what the fuss is about.

FWIW I agree with you, coaches should be flexible and able to change their tactics/approach whenever the situation dictates. I wouldn't cheer a Haaland goal any less if were a hoof up to him than I would an intricately made team goal.

The rags are shit, most of their players are shit, but the manager has come out and said "We play a certain way"

If he'd said "We chose our tactics to suit the situation" or "the end justifies the means" there'd be no fuss.

Now do you get it?

Football fans are so incredibly stupid it makes me laugh.

Spurs fans moaning about Ange.. the guy hasn't been able to field anything like his best 11 all season, when he finally could (last night) they win, knocking out 3rd placed German team.

Chelsea fans moaning about Maresca and wanting Mourinho or Ancelotti back. Crazy. Let the guy implement his style and build upon it, he's been given too many players to balance, ofcourse there will be teething issues.

Arsenal really did the right thing with Arteta and are not reaping the rewards, they knew they had a proper manager and gave him time.Their fans wanted him out, these managers need time.

Shows how poor the Europa league is when the rags and Spurs are 180 minutes away from the final when they are both sat in 14th and 15th respectively. Not to mention the larger budgets they have compared to every team in it.

Man United and Spurs go up against better teams week in week out than these Europa League teams, Amorim has said as much, they can't compete with the physicality in the Prem right now, but can in Europe.

Champions League > Premier League (not by much) >>> La Liga = Serie A = Bundesliga = Ligue 1 = Europa League

Think Bilbao will do them, no fan at all of Rangers but they did play an excellent game during the European campaign and were unlucky last night, Bilbao did well to get past them.

Managers speak bollocks constantly, i dont care.
Our very own pep tells how well we played often when the reality is we were dire
