The fullbacks are the problem though.

Rather ironic in view of a lot of the comments on here.

They've won two trophies plus the Charity/ Community Shield that really doesn't count, but whether we like it or not they've had a better season than us. I don't say we should be going out and shaking their supporters by the hand, but it's the reality. And in years to come no City supporter will look back on this season as anything but a disappointment.

This year's been a reality check for Guardiola. He believed his own hype (and I still shudder at the boy band outfits.)

It's more to do with the events in Manchester this week than being a bad winner that people will get mad at. A CityUnited seemed corny to me but it is a nice gesture to the families affected, putting rivalries aside for a few days, especially an occasion with so much attention on it and numerous mentions of the events during the game. Most of us fans would still be wanting them to lose and them taunting us... but the official channels, the club, the players are supposed to be different they are in the public eye.

I'll tell you what I'd happily have seen us play like Utd did at the etihad that night as we would have progressed to the next round. A lot of business to do and a big improvement needed in them big games.

6th place mate and won a trophy we'd have be annoyed at competing in at all(as that would mean we are performing terribly by our standards), a league cup we pretty much bowed out of and most of us agreed not to spread the squad to thin with the amount of games... nope no thanks wouldn't swap places.

In the August we will be looking to carry on what we were doing at the end of this season.

The defence let in 10 in the last 16, that's good enough we'll keep that going, the attack scored 27 in the last 10 that's great aswell. Just keep that going.

A couple of new players will come in and help us improve even more, but they'll be players who already understand what Pep wants (Walker, Sanchez, Ederson) and can slot in seamlessly.

United on the other hand will be looking to rebuild for the 5th consecutive season. They're fans hopes are pinned on the idea that when Mourinho has spent another £300m that theyll have the quality of players to play attacking exciting football - the exact opposite of this season.

So yeah, they won some more trophies than us this season, but ours laid the foundation on which we'll build the next 2 or 3 seasons in which I'm completely confident we will win a lot, and United are once again trying to change direction, reinvent themselves and begin again.
