Snap decision, sort of thought it all summer, due to how crap teams involved normally do when in it but just found out some teams and sounds more fun now

We should not be overly fussed about coming up against better teams. We are the tournament favourites (wierd feeling, eh!?), so we should act like it. We are the team that everyone wants to avoid, as we will create the "group of death". Then we spank them all.

I agree. The seedings are a farce but we should fear nobody, in fact we are the team to fear in this seasons competition. We reached with QFs with a team not even half as good as we have now. Fulham reached the final despite being average.

Following the exclusion of Real Mallorca from the Europa Leage, their spot has gone to Villareal. Real Mallorca had a lower seeding than us, & Villareal have a higher one and as we were already the lowest seeded team in pot 2 of the Europa Leage group stage, this effectively means we're now demoted to pot 3.

The question is this. Is this a positive thing because we're more likely to get drawn against better teams with decent grounds & bigger capacities (more tickets) or a negative thing as it makes qualifying harder?
Personally I'm not too worried as I think our squad should be strong enough to qualify.

Liverpool, Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Aston Villa, Villerreal, Galatasaray and Sporting Lisbon are all teams with massive European pedigree. Barely full of Wank teams if you ask me.

i said this last season when we were not in it because we did not need the distraction of trying for top 4 but this season is completely different!

we will have by far a stronger and more equipped squad this season and all so the players that need to play European football all though it is not champs league.

the teams all so in this years competition look good and all so don't forget the drop outs from the champs league.

so i am really looking forward to this years Europa league should be a good en!

All this talk about being in a pot and a group, I thought we needed to qualify for the group stage by getting through the first round proper?

So am I wrong?
