graz or salzburg in austria..... cool and beautiful just like the locals

gent,antwerp amongst other belgian towns are cool and far out and they sell beer in vending machines everywhere!!!!

gothenburg.... full of swedish ....say no more (costly enough)


grenada in spain......cheap (jamon y melon mmmmmmmmm) some tappa bars there so food is free whilst drinking!!!

there s always lisbon too.... cheap,classy and sunny

Munich BeerFest, Yes its in september / october but for a lads holiday! You can not go wrong with it! you can get flights return from manchester for about £100 each rooms are a little harder to find but if you stay out of the city center there are lots of good hostels or hotels with good transport to the center.

Had a quick look at that but some daft prices being quoted I'm after a cheap few days away, stayed in Cologne 2 years ago so I fancy going back to Germany.
 
Belfast

Short trip, no need for foreign currency, vibrant nightlife, wide range of hotels close to the bars, though at that time of the year there probably wont be a riot to entertain you as it is too wet and cold for a decent riot.

Still plenty of things to do during the day and any amount of top quality bars to frequent and nightclubs to fall out of in the early hours.
 
Dusseldorf & Cologne when the Christmas markets kick in.

Been there a few times and it's awesome.

Good food, good beer. Sweat it out in a Sauna/Therme and go again the next day. Transport brilliant and cheap, dead easy to get around.

Last time we were there, we stayed in a Holiday Inn, 5 mins from Station which was £30 for a twin room per night with breakfast buffet for 2 people.
