I wonder if anyone mentioned 20 years ago that Inter was killing football??? Probably not.

Yep, I reckon that was the equivalent of £200m in today's money

Think the 200 M+ was Zidane transfer at the time.

Anyway, good graphs that show that the whole "historical" clubs just bought their way before the other and cry foul now.
Their money weren't killing football, but it is now.
Also, i like that it shows PSG didn't spend as lavishly as people think due to the tow world record Neymar and Mbappé transfers. You'd think PSG is first by a big margin when you hear all the talks about the club.
Finally, i would even add that it is somehow deceiving because Chelsea/City and PSG spent big later on when prices were higher. A phenomenon like Ronaldo was worth 30 M, today he would be worth more than 200-300 M for sure. Basically, the old elite would be way higher with adjusted inflation, PSG and City are just playing catch-up but it doesn't please the "purists".
