Eurovision 2025

It was never any good even when we were winning it. It was always a joke.
Nowadays we never qualify which is a great excuse not to bother watching.

But without wishing to cause offence, I seriously thought that for quite some time now, it was a competition that if not explicitly for gays, was only really watched by that audience.
There is definitely a substantial gay following that associates itself with the contest, no doubt about that, but Eurovision has historically had such a huge diverse worldwide audience that it's never going to be a 'purely gay' one ..... it's just one of those shows that few people ever admit to watching, but so many people actually do!

It does seem to have morphed into a celebration of inclusivity. It's always been a bit camp but stepped up a gear with Graham Norton presenting (UK) and that Jewish bird with the beard and cock winning it a while back.
I preferred the gentle wit of wogan when it was a chance to laugh at other countries - especially the ones that were a bit shit in ww2. Still, it gave us abba and bucks fizz, so not all bad.

That the BBC continues to throw millions of our money at this complete farce is absolutely disgusting, the government should stop them from doing it.

I am one of the dwindling few who still pay the license fee and I don’t want my money used this way.

I think this is an incredibly arrogant stance to take.

I am also a license fee payer, and I enjoy watching it. So where does that leave us? Are we all just supposed to listen to you as the grand arbiter of what the BBC can and can't show?

I've never liked Doctor Who - but I'm quite happy to accept that not every program on the BBC is aimed specifically at me. I don't go around saying it's "disgusting" that the BBC continues to drone on about The Traitors 24/7 even though I think it's shite.

Why are people obsessed with calling things like they don't like "disgusting" these days? It's okay to just not like things and move on with your life, you know? People just like different things. It's not that deep.

It's not arrogant to have an opinion you can read it and move on, having an opinion doesn't make you the great arbiter.

He suggests it's a bit shit and doesn't like money spent on it a perfectly reasonable stance no?

Fair enough just can not stand the shit songs, the non-european countries, the political voting and I was pissed off with City which made matters worse.
