Evan Ferguson

He's a fine young striker and will get even better but I worry that he is a bit injury prone. Or maybe it's just that he's a big boy and doesn't seem to mind the physical aspect of the game which means that he might get a bit of a kicking at times.

Big loss to Ireland this week BTW.
Been suggested he could switch allegiance to England in the press this week, then misses out through injury, could be 2+2=22 but it won’t be the first time (Declan Rice) and a bit of a shame for Eire if true

He can't switch allegiance now as hes played more than 3 games for Ireland which makes him ineligible to switch. He's also stated he wouldnt switch.

Rice switched after 3, didn't he? I heard the next one is key. Hence all the fuss right now. Wonder if the FA talked up the prospect of Pep taking over as part of a campaign to turn Evan's head.

I should of said hes played more than 3 games - Hes played 6 games already.

I did think of that all right. Although he did get hurt in the game at the weekend. However it was the Irish medical team that ruled him out so he did travel.
Surely we can't lose another one...;)

Cannot believe the prices being quoted for this player . £60-70 million and that’s being kind .

I don’t agree, his price realistically would be more then that.

Brighton have an exciting talent with a very low minutes/ goal ratio.

They do not need to sell and everything points to this guy being a success.

Take your kind offer of £65 million.

Brighton could go buy another player for that, but no guarantee they would get someone else with anywhere near minutes/ goal ratio or ceiling.

You might get someone who has a longer track record of hitting 10-15 a season, is older with nowhere near the same potential.

Therefore the money needed is going to be £100 million +.

Then you probably move onto the buying club and ignoring Chelsea’s current tactic, as they are acting very different in the market to the norm.

Would you pay £100 million + for this guy, plus would need to get a high wage (if you think £100 milllion player, then you need to pay as such).

So it is a huge part of any transfer budget and wage structure. Would be near impossible to sell if flopped so a big risk using so much of the budget.

Therefore, I think he needs 1 if not 2 more seasons at Brighton.

As it’s currently not worth anyone spending the amount needed for Brighton to sell.

Hold my beer.

Seriously though, his 'goals to games' ratio is based on four games. And one of those was a hat trick. Let's see him do it for a season before we start proclaiming him the next Haaland.
