Even the players are wondering

We're the only team in the league who buys players.

We're the only team in the league who doesn't have a 25 man squad who were all born within 10 miles of the ground.

We're the only team in the league to have a foreign manager.

There's loads of reasons to hate us.

Until we can produce our own stars like Carroll, Rooney, Drogba and Henry we'll be a laughing stock and rightly so.

This....nail on head. We are a disgrace and should be docked 30 points....

30 points?

We should be docked a lot more than that.

You don't see other teams players making challenges like Kompany.

You don't see other teams players not stamping on Scott Parker's head.

We need more 'credits to the game' like Giggs, Rooney, Gerrard, and Terry. All these poncey foreigners we have are boring twats who need to be out there beating the shit out of members of the public, shagging their brothers wives, shagging brasses whilst their wives are in labour or racially abusing people.

'Ooh I'm David Silva and I don't punch children or wank off dogs', pointless twat. Keano wouldn't have tolerated his sort.

If you all remember back to when Chelsea were taken over the hate was the same.

The best explanation I could get for it was that we had no right, we hadn't earned it, that the players weren't here to play for City but to play for the money.
(What, and the rest of the premiership players are what? Playing for pixies?)

There's biterness, I understand it, but it's so vicious at times.
There are a few clubs who have done well enough for a season fighting for top 4, without spending extraordinary amounts of money, and fair play to them.
Look at Spurs this season for instance, but in reality 2 years ago, we were just like them, a mid table team with no real hope of pushing for a title. Maybe if we put in a massive effort we might come close for 1 season, but it would be inconsistent and in reality, it wouldn't last.

We were fortunate enough to get lucky and be invested in, now we're incredibly rich and powerfull and on the up (apparently that's a quailty average joe doesn't like..who knew)

Now apparently that's not the way we're supposed to do it.
We're supposed to "earn it" and "build success" see we've no history, (some seem to think the club appeared 2 years ago (just like many think football started in 1992.)

We've no history? That's funny, see I remember being relegated in 96, and 2 years later being relegated to the 2nd division (all while the rags won another 2 titles and I think Arsenal won one as well) and while our stuff mightn't have been headline, fairytale stuff (no, not even close) it was our history and it's made us what we are today.

Now I know that we can't expect any of the other teams to be happy for us? Why should they be? Would we have been happy if say, Aston Villa were chosen instead and they were in our position and we were mid table (at best)?

We'd be green. Why them? What makes them so special?
At the end of the day, 2 years ago we were no better than them, and overnight that changed.
We got ever so lucky, and we will gratefully take the hate and use it to build more character, hell the rags have been doing it for years, baconface is a master windup..siege mentality, they're all out to get us..etc.

While we can't hope they'll be happy for us, they can't say they wouldn't be delighted if they were in our shoes, they'd fall off their high horses faster than they got on them.
We got lucky, and no we didn't earn it, but when you look at where we've come from to where we are now, they can't say we don't deserve it.

'Clap Clap Clap'

Well said. Sums it up entirely

We all just have to remind ourselves of one thing and one thing only.

We are not here to win friends, we are here to win trophies.

If you can reconcile yourself to that, everything else will come a lot easier.

Ask Gary Neville or Roy Keane do they give a fuck if they were hated? - then look at their medals.

Absolutely.

We and everything associated with Man City are hated because of 1 reason....and its nothing to do with our owners, the money we have, our transfer policy, manager or whatever.

Its simple, because we are the best team in the Country.....

We used to be peoples 2nd team, we had such a good following that people thought we were alright, we must be a good bunch, being so loyal.

People don't hate average teams, average players....they hate the best, because thats where they want to be. They want the team they support to be the best....the team they play in, to be the best!

A lot of hatrid towards the RAGS, is because they've won so much over the past 2 decades.
As someone said, is Giggs, Roy Keane, Gary Neville arsed they are hated - are they bollocks!
- as long as they are winning on the pitch and backed by their own fans! They are as happy as pig in shit.

I'd rather be hated by every fooker, as long as my team/fans back me - and we are wiping the floor with our opposition!

It should give our players even more of a reason to stay on top...to keep the haters hating!

Yeah that Silva is a disgrace to the game.

How can you respect someone who is not into incest, prozzies, ticket touting, printing their own money, shagging their mates wife, making orgy porno's, roasting young birds in the bog or peeking under bog doors etc like the players of any properly reputable club would do
