In the seventies Kelloggs spent a seven figure sum on advertising to get the public to see cereals as breakfast dinner and tea food. Didn't work. They also spent similar to dispel the myth that they produced food for the likes of the supermarket's own brands.
I can’t remember the bloody name of the tv program but it was a cookery program on about 2am ish. My vague memory tells me it was focused on food you could make whilst off your tits; one recipe that has stuck with me over the years was were they made a bowl of cornflakes. Fucking life saving program that, wish I could remember the name of it
