Everton (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

In the first half Foden was No 9 infronf of Alvarez, the second half Alvarez was No9 and Foden played behind him. The first half we played backwards, while in the second half we played forwards. The solution is easy cause we have the talents to perform to the highest level.

Good all round performance apart from Rodri who had a bit of an off day. Phil outstanding and was impressed by Kovacic when he came on. Although Foden’s goal was the most spectacular I was equally impressed with Bernardo keeping his cool when he scored.

Excellent second half performance, where we showed a lot of character and no little skill to secure a vital 3 points. Very ominous sign for the Dippers and Tarquins that we still have Haaland, Kdb and Doku to come back.

Take a bow Phil Foden you ran the show tonight.

Unrecognisable first half….unplayable second

Played like a team of strangers and conceded a really poor goal, but fuck me, we were imperious in the second half with Foden and Silva orchestrating the through balls in the final third….

Onwards and upwards City !!

Scrappy, gutsy, shite refereeing, yet 3 points, away from home, against a resurgent team in form...

...and we have a game in hand over our rivals.

Let's make 2024 the year to cement our place as England's supreme champions, City.

So, a team, without the likes of KDB, Haaland, Dias, Doku, nothing on the bench, losing Stones at 1-0 down, that comes back to win 3-1 away at Everton, isn't a legitimate title contender?

Wow, tough audience.
As I said, the lads dug extremely deep tonight, got it done, and deserve praise for that, but I struggle to see us going on an unprecedented run as we usually do currently.
