Everton (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Robbed by the officials

Lino kept his flag down despite him being offside it doesn’t allow him to become onside as he gained an advantage from his offside in the same phase of play
This was a subjective offside decision and Oliver should have gone to a review as it’s his decision alone to decide

No doubt that PGMOL will come up with some excuse and bullshit
Dermott is busy practicing his lines as we speak

The lack of title winning experience showed in some of our players. Not interested in hanging anyone out to dry: if we fail to win the title, it was those two early defeats that did the most damage in my opinion. However, Guehi in particular and Khus cost us today. Nunes lack of defensive experience probably a factor too in that stupid 13 minutes. Maybe Stones and Ake should have continued on from the semi-final.

Great spirit though to salvage a draw.

Fight to the end.

Yes but without Donnas two world class saves when one on one the game would have been over. Both defenders looked poor in the second half once Barry started knocking them about - oh how I wish Erling would dominate the likes of Keane and Tar--I love myself- the same.

It’s not the first time, teams know he’s suspect on corners.

Too much fannying about in the first half and poor defending throughout. Credit to Jez for clawing it back.

Everton waterlogging the pitch pre match and every man behind the ball. Dark arts at its most ruthless. Credit to them, outplayed us for the majority of the second half.

On to the next.

The only reason we’re still in a title race is because of Pep’s genius and Arsenal’s tendency to bottle it.

We’ve failed to beat Spurs, Brighton, Everton, West Ham and Forest despite taking a lead and that’s what will cost us in the end.
I mean, Pep's the best. No doubt.

But I don't think lauding Pep's genius in the same post where you point out all the sh&t teams we've blown leads to and dropped points against because of those blown second half leads says much for Pep's genius being a reason we're in the title race this year. He can both be a genius (which he is) and have a down season (which I think he is and those results back that up).

Happy that we fought back for a point, we could have easily just downed tools and gave up on it.

I'm pissed off that we didn't go for the kill to get the second goal and kill the fuckers off, we pissed about for large parts of that game instead of going for next goal.

It came back to bite us on the arse, we had warnings before the goal.

Yeah Everton stepped up in the second half and we didn't have the time or space in our half we were given in the first and no one managed to work that out.

Could be a vital point, it's never easy is it? The Hammers will snatch a point off them, it's gonna come down to GD now I feel. Need to win the next 2 big and take it to the final day then anything can happen as we well know.

Oliver was terrible tonight but we made silly errors aswell. Doku rescued us, he was superb.

Conceding 3 against a shite everton performance is diabolical.
- messing about with the ball in our own half this late in the season is ridiculous
- donnarumma is absolutely terrible on corners/crosses
- why bring foden on when he's out of form

Thank fuck for haaland/ doku for at least rescuing a point
I dont get the foden sub at all

Arsenal are champions, end of story

City never took the chances and we can only blame ourselves for a poor 2nd half and letting the referee control the game. Also, I hate saying it, but Haaland should be taking the game by the balls and putting himself about and wanting it more.

Question about their offside goal ? Why didn't the linesman flag for offside, because it was well offside.

Look, we have not really been in the title race and only Arsenal fucking up a couple of times have left the gate open but only for City fuck up down the line, We take our medicine even if it tastes bad and pick ourselves up for a Fa Cup final

I can’t find much joy in that last second equalizer as a draw just isn’t enough and that performance was just not good enough at this stage of the season.

The only solace I can take at the minute is Arsenal still have to win "that" game that wins them the title.

We all know from experience that final game that gets you over the line does very strange things to player's heads and legs. If we think we were all over the place in that second half ' Arsenal are going to look like the keystone cops when they play Palace.

But those results weren't bottling it because it was us losing those points - is that right? Just so I can understand the difference...
