Everton (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Perhaps I am easily pleased but I am thrilled at the fight back. The lads are not machine but a new team doing really well. Teams are not going to roll over.

I suspect the league has gone. If so it will be that awful second half at spurs that will stay in the memory not tonight
I don’t know about that, that second half performance considering what was on the line will take some forgetting.

Fuck me, been on the pop tonight have you because no sane, sober person would watch that game and think City deserved to win it.
Usual knee-jerk reaction because we had a bad result. Everybody on here noted how difficult a match it would be to win prior to the match and now it's proved to be exactly that it's the usual BlueMoon meltdown.

I felt the Bernardo corner incident could have gone either way at the end. Luckily dint. With that experience you can't be doing that.

1. I can understand players slipping in the first few minutes of a game but still slipping all through the second half?
2. Once we go one up, stop fucking about and get the second and then third etc, stop giving teams a sniff of a come back
3. We need to be more vocal about shit refereeing
4. We need a minimum of three players who can go straight into the team and make us better
5. Sometimes the ball needs to go into row Z
6. Was it a corner that they scored from?
7. Thank goodness for Doku
8. Beto fouls Khusanov, nothing said, identical foul on Guehi is a yellow, what was the difference?
9. If a red is shown for that foul on Doku, it doesn’t get overturned, ref knows what he is doing showing a yellow
10. Ref obviously can’t count to 8 as on numerous occasions Pickford held on for 10+ seconds but nothing given. It’s not hard to count to 8

Lucky to get a draw on the end. Should have put the hgame away by half time. They should have had a plenty penalty. Christ knows how VAR didnt give that for Bernados wrestling in the area.

Still, we know, from the QPR game in 2012, that its not easy to get over the line. Need to win all our last games and hope Arsenal bottle it....again

summarising Pep interview;

really good 1sr half
give away ‘the goal’
“english game” from everton
we were outstanding
good transition from everyon
we take the point
until its over its not over
no comment to michael keane challenge question
everton more momentum and aggressive 2nd half
Jeremy creates a lot
the fight back - better than losing
this result means title race not in our hands
4 games left we have

Thought he made two great stops, people forget the one in the first half where he got a hand to that cross that Beto would have tapped in

Perhaps not excellent but after Doku, he was the only one with any credit
I still think he creates more problems than he solves but fair enough

Second half performance was absolutely appalling given the circumstances. No intensity or drive at all to kill the game.

A great comeback but not sure it will be enough. Think the West Ham game will be absolutely enormous.

It's got Scousers vs Palace vibes all over it

Plenty of football to play yet. And if Arsenal do end up winning the rest of their games then fair fucks to em

Much easier to accept this result once you have accepted all limitations of this team.
Lower the expectations and the pain of dissapointmet is not so bad after all.

Congratulations, but I don't give a fuck how the rules have been concocted to allow that to be onside.
Because according to the laws of the game he was onside
Do you remember the 6-0 thumping we handed to Chelsea at home?
Ross Barkley headed the ball to Aguero who was stood two yards closer to the goal than any Chelsea defender

If we win the league this season... So many people need to be fired from Arsenal. They should have sewn it up a few months ago.
