Everton (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Cmon with the crying about the offsides not given - move on. Guehi played the ball back. It wasn't offsides and if the shoe had been reversed and we had scored and they gave it offsides everyone would be crying conspiracy as well.

No conspiracy flag should go up when it’s 2 yards offside I’ve seen it all season in some game linesmen out there flag up and all been at Anfield

Oliver is disgrace

Blatant red card in first half

First goal offside

Second goal from a corner that should have been e been a goal kick

Third goal from their throw in that was ours.

That said awful defending one great save from Donnarumma and should have been an Everton penalty for holding by Bernardo

Pep won’t as usual and I want expect it now! his position is don’t have a go at the referee after a game!

So that ankle breaker and that two yard offside goal where the linemen didn’t put his flag up when in other games I’ve seen linemen stick there flag up straight away! The refereeing in the premier differs from game to game!

PGMOL will decide the outcome and final determination of the PL, because they are bought and paid for by the corrupt counts like Richard Masters.

Frustrating performance but that late Doku goal could very well turn out to be huge in this title race

I know we feel down cause a win was what we wanted but a draw is so much better than a loss

Changes the context of the West Ham Arsenal completely provided we do our job against Brentford of course. What does Arteta do if they are drawing late in the game? Does he push on for the winner or risk losing and handing it back to our hands.

If we lost today Arsenal could afford to draw at West Ham

I thought the throw in was ours as well but no one talked about it so I thought I'd just got it wrong.

Why do we never score a goal like that? Corner was superb
Because we always chip them in from cormers in a dinky passive float them type of way. We never whip one in at pace, same with free kicks, and crosses from the edge of the box after 40 sideways passes and Haaland has to junp and try and get some momentum to power a header from a cross that wouldnt break a spiders web if it hit one. And talking about Haaland, the first and only time we slip a pass through for him to run on to he only goes and scores. Fucking surprise surprise what a surprise that was. Do it more often FFS!

We did well to rescue a point but let's be honest that's the title gone looking at the remaining fixtures for both clubs. We had to win all our games to be in with a shout but chose tonight to revisit all our old failings. When Barry scores twice against you then you know your defence has been awful. What on earth went through Guehi's mind only he will know. It's up there with our worst cock ups over the years. The midfield and defence then just went to pieces giving away two more awful goals and it could have been more.

How that jug eared thug Keane wasn't sent off God knows....well no actually we do....Oliver the gutless cheating prick. We've been on the receiving end of plenty of awful decisions this season and we all know why, they want another name on the trophy. Also don't forget we've been at war with the premier league for years, if they can't beat us in court they sure as hell can beat us on the field.

In truth we shouldn't really have been in a title race this season and the reasons why hit home hard tonight. Not finishing teams off when on top and individual mistakes. That's about twelve points we've lost from winning positions since January. I'll add all our remaining games are going to be equally as tough so if we hadn't dropped points tonight it's a strong possibility we would against Brentford and Bournmouth. The pressure is all off Arsenal now and i expect them to batter West Ham and Burnley, but there again i expected them to do that before our result tomight.

Lets go and win thst bloody fa cup now!

Football mate. Us more than anybody know anything can happen.

Let's see how Arsenal fancy having to win away to Palace on the final day of the season to win the league. Because we almost fucked it against QPR.

Look I'm not saying they aren't now huge favourites but it's football and they are Arsenal.
Everybody marking the West Ham match as the decider but they have two away matches against London rivals, none are ever the walkover people expect.

Shush you'll get the rules the referees don't follow thrown at you.

It's offside.

Not saying Guehi wasn't at fault but 2nd phase of play shouldn't happen he's off as soon as he moves towards the ball like he did.

Apparently the linesman put his flag up instantly, so if Guehi does nothing then it’s offside. But then Guehi obviously feels the need to do something because the guy is there and he’s not seen the flag.

Regardless, it was a shit pass from Guehi. Genuinely appalling.

The fact the player was still closing players down for me means it’s offside. A flaw in the rules. Another grey area.

Always us isn’t it these grey areas? Rags in 2023 now tonight.

Exactly.

Disappointing, but showed some balls to come back. Far from over yet.

For those digging out our fantastic away support for having the temerity to leave at 3-1 down with 9 mins to go. Come on, I bet there were plenty at home who turned off in disgust and plenty who headed for the door at the pub. Frustration and disappointment does funny things to people.

Banning them from tickets and advising fellow Blues to fuck off? Deary me.
