Everton (A) Post Match Thread

Just watched the second goal on BT's replay of the game.

There are some amazing examples of skill and control in that move.

Firstly, Leroy's control of Ederson's punt was wonderful, as was the skill he used to maintain possession.

Then, the assist from KdB was a phenomenal cross, made with both feet off the ground.

I’d chosen Raheem's winner against Southampton as my GotS, but this one will run it very close, if not beat it.

Haha brain fart ! Yep its Wednesday then Tuesday following week. Should know, as i blocked out my work calender from 3pm on the 10th so i can get home, get changed and get there.
Just cannot wait to see us in action again.

No problem. Just didn't want you being disappointed Tuesday night.

Thanks NK, the thing is I have that stuck indelibly in my head, as their passing was something else in that first half, and we chased shadows, so the benny hill tune was pretty apt for how far behind them we were, so to think we might have surpassed that level is something else, because it was a benchmark of how far we still had to go.

This is a huge 10 days, but if we come out of it unscathed (1 down, 3 to go, so not counting any chickens yet), it will be one hell of a statement on top of all we've achieved already.

I had never seen anything like that in the flesh. Not even Barca. But it still needed Joe Hart's doziness to create a real goal scoring opportunity for them.

City today were seriously dangerous all through the first half, trying little passes into the box etc, not just knocking it around for the sake of it, but still had 82% possession.

I love it when we're winning and we start passing it back and forth in front of their inert defenders until the opposition fans boo their own team for not trying. I love that we psychologically batter them
