The first of what would normally be a tough run of games , Everton,Goons,Rags , but we are playing like a well oiled machine , Gundo will be a big miss so we have to bring the best midfield player in europe into the side to replace him :) Ancelloti will not play gung-ho tonight , it will be a tight game and if we can complete another clean sheet we will find a way to score , 1-0 or 2-0 win would be rather nice.

I agree, fear tonight or Sunday will see some sort of points dropped.

Everton did seem to struggle from corners/set pieces last midweek against Spurs?

Can see Dias or Stones hopefully making the difference there and getting a goal.
I've been saying to my lads for weeks now that we finally look dangerous from corners and are due a goal. Dias is surely due one. The other side of that coin is that we have at last become brilliant at defending set pieces and that's never been a tool in our armoury. But yeah, I can see one of those 0-1s where we miss 25 chances is coming.

Wow.... blast from the past for older Blues.

Can you guess who it is before clicking on the Tweet thread ?

I recognized him and remember him playing in the late 70’s for City before he left for Oldham. I always has high hopes for him as my Dad always spoke highly of him as he watched him a lot playing in the reserve team before he broke through. I guess he was the Sturridge of the day, but not as prolific and certainly not as big an ego. I never heard a bad word said about him and consider him one of the good guys from the old days. Good memories for sure. City had no money back then and our other home grown talent such as Peter Barnes and Gary Owen were great to watch. Thanks for sharing.
