City fresh from a morale boosting victory against plalace who were missing their 1st and 2nd choice CBs with their 3rd choice going of to change the game, they still scored first, the result flatters to decieve.
Everton battered Forest, the ref tried to manipulate the result denying 2 penalties one of which should have been a red, but that was the Everton dominance.
be a hard game but Everton do not have the tools to win.

Got a feeling that this could be a really dull 0-0 or 1-1 draw. Hope I'm wrong as we could really do with the three points. Think it will come too soon for Akanji to start, so wouldn't be surprised to see the same starting XI as against Palace, maybe with Nunes coming back in for Lewis.

Ndiaye, Dwight Mcneil could cause us problems. And they might try and overrun us in midfeld in traditional Moyes dogs of war style.

0-0 or 1-0 Everton written all over it. Not sure we have the tools to unlock their land of the Giants defence TBH
Pep might seriously try to replicate his swamp tactics to get a point.

I'd imagine akanji being rb for rest f season when fully right.
The question is, will he ever be fully fit? I suspect for a while, then he'll be injured again. He's had on-and-off problems with this adductor muscle since 2018. Must be so frustrating.

I think Pep plays for a draw here and plays the Villa game at home like a final.

I think we win the rest of our games after that.

4 points in next 2 and win the rest and it's top 4.

It seems strange to say that, but I get what you mean. Players that he trusted aren't performing, and we just don’t have the quality out wide like we did in previous seasons. We're starting to play more narrow. Hoping Marmoush can conjure up something special.

He wouldn't know how to play for a draw and I don't think he should be thinking that way anyhow. We need 3 points they don't.

Good test tomorrow, our recent record at Goodison and against Moyes bode well. That said Moyes has got them playing for each other and made them very difficult to break down. Plus the home crowd should be up for it as they’re playing the last few matches at Goodison.

They are safe and are only playing for next season and the emotional farewells to Goodison. It’s one of those matches whereby if we get in front and in control their intensity may drop. Need to start well and don’t give the home fans anything to get excited about.

We haven’t managed to put any sort of run together, no back to back league wins since January, so it would be opportune to do so tomorrow.

Last week saw an unusual team selection and setup, it was awful until KDB scored then it was ok, then second half it worked really well. As always, interesting to see what Pep does tomorrow. Wonder if he will rotate with 3 matches in 9 days…

On form we win this but the question is whether last week was a blip or the start of something good. Hopefully the latter.

I’ve gone for a draw. Not so much for fear of Everton but more to do with our inconsistency this season.
A point here and win home to Villa nice. Two wins over the blue moon.
