For good reason, to be fair.

Some in the match thread are a disgrace, and I don’t use that word lightly.

It’s just reaction to the emotions of the live game.

If match threads were locked until the day after when the 90 minutes replays came out, they’d be different because everyone would be calmer. It’s not that the contributors are twats (in the main), it’s that they’re just living the excruciating excitement of a game. That’s why there’s an atmosphere at football and a lot more extreme language and negativity aimed at players as well (miles more at the game than online match threads).

The match threads on here are normal behaviour for football fans.

It's just stress and emotion that gets to people. If you're typing in the moment people will curse and moan at missed chances, cock ups etcetera. Of course we have the rag and dipper pricks on the wind up there too.

There are rival fans on there for sure.
