Understandable selection but the engine room will be important. From the corresponding fixture last February, we field 6 of the side that started and won, 0-1, (Ederson, Dias, Laporte, Rodri, Gundogan, and Foden), while Everton only field 4 (Pickford, Holgate, Doucoure, and Iwobi). We’ve been there and know what to do.

Remember Pep rested Rodri the other week because he simply told him he was tired.

I thought Lewis would play instead of Walker. I had Foden, Laporte, Álvarez and Mahrez starting plus Lewis and then 6 players from Tuesday.

Regardless of todays result, I think you’ll be fine. Although I accept it’d do nothing for your nerves. I’m saying you get 6 points after today which would be enough on its own. Would you take a draw now?

I would take a point in a heartbeat today as we couldnt have a worse team to play. But im hoping your focus is on the CL game and we can get 3. Should go about 70% of the way to keeping us up and the title is still in your hands even with a defeat.

Everton will be gutted about our team selection , i didnt think Pep would go with such a strong side , big game for Foden needs to get back into his rythm and state a claim for a place in potentially two cup finals , Foden on top of his game starts every time for me , we need him back to his very best.
