I wouldn't say that. After finishing 10th last season we still managed to sign Adebayor, Barry, Santa Cruz, Lescott, Tevez and Toure. If we finish 5th this year i reckon we'll easily outdo that.

Hell, we might even take Arteta off you.

i was just wondering due to the amount of threads by these visiting everton fans, are we there main rivals now liverpool are in the gutter 'there new derby' now i know everton beat man united but normally they roll over and tickle sir alex's bollox while telling him just how large they are so that neck of the woods is closed for them.are they looking for a little glory at our expence before we conquer the world

You are about 50 - 100 years of consistent success from that.

You are still the little brother of Utd, same we are of Liverpool. Only in terms of success, we're not as little a brother to Liverpool as you are to Utd.

What you have is a gifted stadium and foreign money.

I was watching City in Division 2 growing up with fans all around United, Liverpool, Everton even Stockport County for fucks sake giving me shit about how wank City are and that nothing will become of our club "yo yo team" we were called now we're finally showing the potential we've had for so long and been so unlucky with because of finance crisis (£5M club transfer record for Macken durin them times says it all) people want to take it away from us.

But anyway, interesting letter in today's guardian about clubs buying success. Can't find it on the Guardian's web sit, but it goes something like this...

"I started following football in the early 1960's and well remember Everton being accused of "buying the First Division" in 1962-63. If I remember correctly, they were funded by the owners of a football pools company which allowed them to splash out on expensive players, Tony kay et al, for the astronomical sum of £30,000 each!"

They will be bragging now about buying the league before we tried it. Wonder if that's mentioned in their 'History' song?

I have no problem at all with fans of other clubs coming on here, even United fans, just aslong as they're not idiots. Darker Shade and Gwladiator seem like good guys.
