Everton are the"People's Club". Since when?

This whole "peoples Club" is just a jab at Liverpool saying that Evertonians come from the City just like their attempt at humour with their shop in the City Centre at the Liverpool One Shopping Centre it's called Everton Two thing is most Liverpool fans would point out true the address is Everton Two Liverpool One but they didn't think it through as Everton One (at Goodison) is in Liverpool 4 postal code area

(PS only reason for the slightly pro Liverpool stance of the above post is thanks to the Chavs who chased me and my 8 year old son at full time after we beat them last year big and hard singling out a man and his kid)

Everton really have a pathetic reputation when it comes to mean small time aggro... (as in they are specialists in bullying innocents (e.g lads /dads, rather than other z -list moron thugs from other clubs).

I used to feel an affinity for them but the more I have read about the reception oppo fans have had the more cynical I get....

Scouser
get this on a mug or greeting card,Criminal type who defines self pity. Morbidly rants about being hard done by whilst obsessively abusing others (e.g. Liverpool fans attitude to Hillsborough and Heysel whilst they STILL (2009) sing songs about the Munich aircrash at games vs Manchester United).
No sense of humour: Ken Dodd, Jimmy Tarbuck, Craig Charles etc etc
Also claim to be left wing! Ha. Stealing of their own, thieving from the poor, Derek Hatton, city built on slavery etc etc

you sad little boy .. I will not even justify that " dickhead " of a remark with a fitting response .. except to say you seem to be spending far too much time obssessing about your opponents than you do supporting your own little club . A massive indication of inadequacy .. but then your inadequacies are rightly feared . Another mid table finish for the Mancunian " Batty Boys "

I guess spending your time on a Manchester City forum qualifies you in your statement; " ....except to say you seem to be spending far too much time obssessing about your opponents than you do supporting your own club" , rather ironic wouldn't you say 1qwerty?

With regards to your reference of a mid table finish for City, well we shall at the end of the season where the table puts us and where your "People's Club" will be. As it stands the table states that you are mid table mediocrity, whilst our "little club" are considerably highter than you! With reference to your jibe of us being a "little" club could we just clarify that we are the 3rd best supported team in the biggest league in the world, the Premiership. That, after 30 odd years winning nothing and dropping into the old 3rd Division is fucking awesome my fickle scouse friend. Your attendances however are truly laughable, as is your pathetic stadium and your ridiculous manager. Quote, "which part of Lescott is not for sale do City not understand?". Shown himself to be an utter clown. The last time your 'big' club won anything was back in 1995, it wont be long before your cabinet is as empty as ours. Difference is that we have the potential and resources to do something about that and actually have a real possiblity of winning things. You sad lot however have, as scousers would say two hopes....Bob Hope & no hope.

Goodnight.

Bang on, auction.

"The peoples Club" does go back Moyes who said whenever he walks through the city all the people are wearing blue shirts, a bit of a dig at the redshite who have to fly in from Denmark every friday, You never see people in red shirts in liverpool.

But no need for you to worry, EFC have done away with the We are the peoples club motto.
The big sign as you approach goodison has been taken down and changed to "Home of the Blues".

Time , as they say will tell , I'm not even going to mention our horrendous injury list to excuse our poor form of late , yet we are actually ahead of our points total from last season at the same stage with our better players to return ... we finished 5th remember (again) and reached an FA cup final .. All this without the investment that yourselves have had at your disposal for a number of seasons now . We will improve , our better players will return along with the performances , Yourselves however have already had your little few days in the limelight and a la Sven's city "team " once the usual suspects get into their stride will drop like a stone , as usual , .. I'll be generous , you may cling on to a Europa Cup Place . Unfortunately for you , the " Fair Play League " is out of the question ... And it'll be ' bye bye Father Ted '

Thankyou I could not remeber also! I think it was. Platt Lane still had the old wooden benches, went in there twice, no going down the steps to get a balti pie in the old platt lane

Definatly wood rot, im sure some genius on here as a old picture of the platt lane end, Think the platt lane looked like that when it was new !

Were the seats different colours or was it wood rot? seem to remeber yellow and red for some reason

It was definatly wood rot, think it looked like that when it was new !
Some genius on here will have a picture of the platt lane end..

Platt Lane was SUCH a chip shop of a stand. It made the North and Main stands look like luxury.
