You're dropping Tevez after a hattrick and two assists?

Yes.
So you are presumably dropping Barry because of his praise for Tevez after the Barnsley game?

Yes.
Why?

Re: Everton Vs City Pre Match Discussion Thread

I can see us getting 3 pts,we're hitting form just at the right time and we're due a win at goodison, plus they'll still be shellshocked from the wigan defeat and i don't think all is well behind the scenes with moyes not signing another contract...
We will win 2-0..

Re: Everton Vs City Pre Match Discussion Thread

the thing is we know a draw is no good. throw the kitchen sink at them and overwhelm them. We have the means and the ways.

Re: Everton Vs City Pre Match Discussion Thread

-----------Hart-------------
Zaba--Toure--Nastasic--Clichy
-------Yaya--Barry---------
--Silva-----------------Milner
-------Tevez-Aguero----------

(Vinnie for Kolo if fit, Edin for Sergio if he is still out)

Strongest team, get on the front foot and attack with intent. Too often against Everton (and in fact, too often this season in general) we start too passively and let them settle, even dictate.

milner to come on as first sub.

Re: Everton Vs City Pre Match Discussion Thread

Dropping Tevez wouldn't be that bad. It was after all only Barnsley last Saturday. Personally id play Tevez and Aguero.

Re: Everton Vs City Pre Match Discussion Thread

It might have "just been Barnsley" but it's not like Dzeko lit up the front line. If a player is doing well, you play him. With no other player would people even consider dropping Tevez.

Nastasic on the bench purely because in Kompany's absence, we will need Joleon to deal with Fellaini.

Re: Everton Vs City Pre Match Discussion Thread

Don't think we can play both Garcia And Barry. Well we could but we'd have to drop a striker. Milner needs to play to give us energy in the midfield because they will throw everyting at us and swamp it.

HART

ZABBA KOMPANY (if fit) NASTASIC CLICHY

BARRY GARCIA

SILVA TOURE MILNER

TEVEZ

Possibly?

Re: Everton Vs City Pre Match Discussion Thread

Hart
Zabaleta Kolo Lescott Clichy
Yaya Barry
Milner Tevez Silva
Aguero

Re: Everton Vs City Pre Match Discussion Thread

bobby played ed last time because we needed the height for set piece defence so doesnt the same thing apply this time?

Re: Everton Vs City Pre Match Discussion Thread

Referee is Probert, same ref as in the 1-1 draw with them in December.

One up top either Tevez or Aguero, flood the midfield IMO.

flooding the midfield might be risky as they will just lob it over.as long as we press high as well as flood?

Re: Everton Vs City Pre Match Discussion Thread

Hart
Zabaleta
Kolo
Nastatic
Clichy
Milner
Barry
Yaya
Silva
Aguero
Tevez

Doubts whether fellaini will play after the weekend he had. Watch him have a blinder in there cup final on Saturday.

Re: Everton Vs City Pre Match Discussion Thread

Feel the loss they suffered to Wigan could haunt us. Everton are always up for playing against us and will be again. All the boys need to be on the ball perhaps score an early goal and dim the atmosphere. I'd stick Tevez and Dzeko up top wouldn't risk Aguero bench for him.

-----------------Hart------------------

Zaba Kompany/Kolo Nastasic Clichy

---------------Garcia------------------

--------Milner---------Yaya-----------

----------------Silva-------------------

--------Tevez--------Dzeko-----------

Can't see us winning tbh but don't see us losing either 1-1.

Re: Everton Vs City Pre Match Discussion Thread

leave vinnie out for as long as possible with the cup being so important, likewise sergio.it willl be a physical game wont it, so no risks.think kolo might just get a year extension at this rate unless he has fallen back in love with playing everyweek and goes so he can play more.as he went with ed last time i reckon he will do that again although i want tev to start especially if serg is out.

Re: Everton Vs City Pre Match Discussion Thread

1 up top and the extra midfielder might be good for this game (especially if Fellaini plays) because we all know what it'll be like, Everton players running around like they are coked up the eyeballs and their very existence depends on winning this game. We've run into the same trap over and over again in this game, Mancini having never won at Goodison, so we need to try something different or it'll be Groundhog Day. In the season we've broken the Stoke away (albeit in the cup) and Arsenal away jinxes, maybe just maybe we have a chance of breaking this one.
