Everton (FA Cup) Post Match Thread

Good patient performance. Dinho was phenomenal - that run and pass between him and Sterling deserved a goal just for his movement and pass. Kdb made a difference - but the game was stretching and Everton were shattered - it's all part of the plan. And for those having a go at Sterling he was part of that - he was double covered, kept stretching them kept moving and whilst nothing came off for him it created other openings for other players - in particular Foden was able to drift into all sorts of space and keep the defenders guessing about who was coming at them from where. in the end the concentration that takes creates tiredness and the gaps KdB could exploit.
 
We dealt with their aerial threat much better than I thought we would. Fern was off the scale good today. We finished with our best 11 on the field (maybe).. So much more balance in the team after the changes.
 
Gomez and Allan just ran around kicking everyone..

Gomez should have been off the dirty fucker..

Finally got booked after countless fouls..

Everton played like a league 2 side and got exactly what they deserved..

Im so sick of commentators or pundits praising teams for doing absolutely nothing against us.

This was a fucking cup quarter final and Ancelotti played every centreback he had, defended as deep as physically possible non stop from the first whistle and never tried to score a goal, just the occasional lump to DCL to chase down.

They weren't unlucky, they weren't brave, they weren't holding out for 85 minutes, they just tried to act as spoilers and stop a game of football from breaking out until the inevitable happened.

And we have won our last 7 penalty shootouts in a row as well!! Its not clever to try and take it to penalties after 120 minutes of being shit.

I'd be disgusted with Ancelotti and the players if I was an Everton fan and saw them put up that performance.
 
Commentators made it sound like we were up against a plucky league 1 side and Everton played like one, and why was their goalkeeper wasting time with 20 mins to go by not picking the ball up ?, surely not playing for penalties?

Once we got the goals I was just relieved that we didn’t pick up any injuries.

There’s being physical and there’s being absolute liberty taking dirty cunts, Everton fell into the latter half today. Oh the fucking irony at them crying about the ‘high’ foot at the end. They went right down in my estimation, Mina, Allan and Gomes took the piss.

Add in the pathetic Richarlison and most of their team grated big style.

Foden is a big, key player for us, no holding him back now. Zin absolutely perfection down the left.

Great win in tough circumstances.
